1:05 I live in New York and I have two Japanese supermarkets near me which are designed to resemble konbini. I go there all the time for their gyudon bento and sushi.

At 4:56 I appreciate how she emphasized the importance to not always think about the material things and money, but that we should care for one another.

One thing I miss is getting spaghetti at Lawsons after a long dumb night of drinking. I was really surprised when the cashier asked if I wanted it heated the first time I bought it. Good stuff

I'm enjoying a lot your videos. I think you don't need to cut out the pause people make between sentences, unless it is too long.

Your content is great and the subtitles are a blessing! Is it possible for you to add the japanese subtitles as KZbin subtitles? If so, the subtitles will appear over the video as text, and then we can use a Chrome extension like Yomichan to hover the mouse cursor over the subtitle and see the meaning of each word. Thank you!

It is amazing how well the foreigners speak Japanese. They must be studying really hard! I just started and I guess this is a really long-term project. /edit haha just got to 07:00... The irony :D

Is there a way to take off English subtitles or make some videos with that format in the future?? I prefer just reading and hearing it in Japanese.

Since Yuriko wants to make these videos useful for Japanese learners, I think it’s great being able to see both the kanji/kana and the English subtitles at the same time.
