1:05 I live in New York and I have two Japanese supermarkets near me which are designed to resemble konbini. I go there all the time for their gyudon bento and sushi.

One thing I miss is getting spaghetti at Lawsons after a long dumb night of drinking. I was really surprised when the cashier asked if I wanted it heated the first time I bought it. Good stuff

Your content is great and the subtitles are a blessing! Is it possible for you to add the japanese subtitles as KZbin subtitles? If so, the subtitles will appear over the video as text, and then we can use a Chrome extension like Yomichan to hover the mouse cursor over the subtitle and see the meaning of each word. Thank you!

Is there a way to take off English subtitles or make some videos with that format in the future?? I prefer just reading and hearing it in Japanese.

Plus English only speakers can always click CC and it’ll pop up

Since Yuriko wants to make these videos useful for Japanese learners, I think it’s great being able to see both the kanji/kana and the English subtitles at the same time.

欧米の人ではなく、アジア人にも聞いてほしいです。欧米の人と他のアジア人が暮らす日本は大分違います。例えば僕はアメリカ人が普通に入ってた居酒屋に入ろうとしたとき、止められたことがあります。タトゥーもないし、初めて行ったのに。。そして友達とほかの居酒屋に入った時にも、欧米人にはめっちゃくちゃ優しかった店員が、こっちにはため口で、お通しも提供してもらえなかったのに請求されたり。。お通しがなかったと言ったら、”じゃ今食べる？って言われました。"（しかも、あの欧米の人は僕より日本語もカタコトでした。） 3年間3回こういった経験をしています。３年間３回なので多くはないと思いますし、どの国でもあり得るくらいだとは思います。ただ欧米の人とほかのアジア人への接し方は結構違うとは思います。
