Earlier this year, I followed the "Bible in a Year" reading program. Two months ago, I began reading the Bible chronologically and, just recently, came across this scenario. I asked our Father's Holy Spirit to reveal His Word to me...and then, I came across this video today!!! Am in AWE of what God is doing thro' the videos and especially this morning as I watched. My heart is bursting with gratitude to our Father reaching many thro' your videos...A BIG THANK YOU!!!

Joel, you mentioned doing follow up videos on this subject. I’ve eagerly awaited for that but I don’t think you have ever done a follow up video. I’ve read Adam Zertal’s book, “A Nation Born,” about the Ebal altar, which I think is indisputably Joshua’s altar (i.e. the older smaller altar underneath). I’ve also read Milt Machlin’s book, “Joshua’s altar.” I was a little disappointed that you did not discuss the older, smaller altar discovered under the precise geometric center of the sacrificial platform of the newer altar. This is a fascinating aspect of the discovery. I’ve been waiting for someone to do an in-depth video on the issue of the precise location of the altar (that is, that Mt Gerizim is *not* in view), and Zertal’s solution to this dilemma that Mount Kabir (I believe on the East side) is the actual Mount Gerizim of the Bible, and that what we call Mt Gerizim today is not the biblical Gerizim. To my knowledge, nobody at all has ever done a video on this aspect of the discovery. This issue occupied a significant portion of Zertal’s book. It is written in Joshua 8:33: “And all Israel, sojourner as well as native born, with their elders and officers and their judges, stood on opposite sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal…” This statement seems to rather plainly require that the two camps were in view of each other and since blessings and curses were uttered, probably in voice range of each other. Any plans on putting out a video about this?

I didn't know how much archeology lined up with the biblical stories until a year ago. I always just ignored archeology involving Israel and Egypt because it was obvious that they would do anything possible to alter the archeology to discredit the Bible. It is SO COOL that so much of the bible stories that the mainstream "scientific" community claim never happened have been found in the last decade or two.
