Exploring Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 | Almaty, Canyons and Kolsay Lakes

This vlog is about my trip to Kazakhstan (part 2). I came to Almaty from Russia to join a hiking tour around the natural wonders of Central Asia. In this video, I'll show you some amazing attractions of Kazakhstan - Shymbulak Ski Resort, Kolsay Lakes, Charyn Canyon and more. Also, in this video I'll speak to Kazakh people and try Kazakh traditional food - beshbarmak and baursaki. Enjoy! :)

It’s not surprising that the roads are great in Almaty especially the mountains. The UK has a lot of rain and heavy usage of vehicles. Oh, the headache you experienced is due to the thin air, glad you came down safely as prolonged exposure to high altitude can cause serious swelling in the brain. All the best

@@elenastravels yes Elena it was great, a little bit of an eye opener for me coming from Scotland, but everyone was really nice to me. I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the area though

I was surprised by the good road conditions. After all, not many people live out there and still the roads are perfect. I have visited the other side of the Tianshan mountains in China, where the landscape and vegetation is the same. Your travel reports give viewers a good idea about places possible to visit. Just like you, I want to visit the mountains because I like to go away from crowded areas.

Yeah, the roads were quite good in most of the places. Sometimes, we had to drive on sand roads though. I'd be glad if someone decided to visit the places I show in my videos. I believe they are definitely worth seeing 🙂

I stood in the same view point as you, also had 🍽️ in that restaurant.What an amazing place. It was clean las week. I also, saw the best version of the Milky way near the canyon at around 10pm. Hiked lake 1 & 2 but couldn't do lake 3 same day. I will go back and cmap for lake 3 ❤

Elena, when Kazakhstan is Home to Wildlife, 😁🐅🎉🐯 one Wildlife is a Predator, "A Big Cat!" 😏🐯Less than a Hundred Years Ago, Caspian Tigers once lived here, Preying on Wild Boar, European Bison, Onagers, Wild Horses and Deer, 🐅🐯😒😥 once, They're hunted to near Extinction and It was very sad Elena, very, very sad. 🎉😁🐯🐅 Well Elena, in 2025, but they're now plan to Reintroduce Tigers to Ili Balkhash Nature Reserve in these parts once more.
