I had the opportunity to audition the Solo 800. Sounded superb and effortless. Even more fascinating was that it literally was never more than slightly warm no matter how hard you drove it. Still rocking 4 Klouts paired with Keltiks. Linn equipment is built to last decades.

Fascinating to “hear” the details of “what” and how this new amp works.

Hopefully (as well as the Utopik) there are some distortion reducing advancements that can trickle down the price bracket chain into the 500.

$90,000.00 for that ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. are you kidding me ?!. seriously. there are so many awesome Amps that can be had for a lot less... thank you

@@leegoodwin3466 that's right.. the sky's the limit.. however. you may find a 30K Amp sound better than a 90K Amp for your ears. more expensive doesn't mean better... (same thing with cars. i'd take the Lexus LS for it's reliability over the unreliable and more expensive Mercedes any day).

@@Thereznap exactly…..your ears may tell you this linn amplifier out performs amplifiers costing 3 times the cost of the linn also.

Leave it to us Americans to need a my amp that is bigger than your amp from Linn. The Scots must have been shaking their heads while designing it.

Interesting video - thank you. As a long-term Solo 500 user I don't doubt that the new Solo 800 will be fantastic. However, given that it costs seven times as much as my beloved Solos I won't torture myself by auditioning what I could never afford. I've enjoyed the journey, Linn - but the ride's now become way out of my league price wise. I'm out.

It‘s sound like an ice-block, no soul, no connection to the heart of music
