Kolhapur is the city once ruled by a great aristocrat of the 20th century. Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. He was a wrestler himself and used to have a male buffalo as a pet. He turned Kolhapur into a hub of wrestling. Wrestlers from all over India come to Kolhapur for training. He used to spend a lot of Kingdom's revenue on wrestlers and wrestling. He loved his fellow wrestlers so much that once a wrestler who fell ill and had no enough money for treatment, Shahu Maharaj himself arranged his expenses and promised the doctor to give him Gold equivalent to the weight of the wrestler if he saves him.
