Every once in a while the historical town of Lincoln, New Mexico opens it's doors to the public for a once in a life time experience of exploring after dark. I couldn't pass this opportunity up! This town is almost frozen in time, the 1870s and 1880s. 7 buildings are open year round. Lincoln is made famous by one of the most violent times in New Mexico's history. Walk with me in the same foot steps as Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, John Tunstall, and other infamous, and famous characters of the Wild West! We explore the El Torreon defensive tower built by settlers in the 1850s, Dr. Woods house ( the high class mansion in that time ),the Tunstall store filled with a well preserved 19th century atmosphere, and last the famous court house where Billy the Kid himself last escaped. The atmosphere of the town at night has a totally different vibe that one can only experience in person. As I explain in the video and I will do here as well, I left the scenes dim and almost dark in areas to keep true to the feel that it must of felt back in the 1800s, I think it came across pretty surprisingly well, and honestly I didn't mean it too. This was a night to remember! I encourage anyone that comes through the area to stop for a bit and explore and learn about this awesome, well maintained old wild west town! I hope you enjoy the video, be sure to hit that like button!
