The houses/apartments in this video are like the ones i read in the book Greyfriars Bobby. They were built during the Georgian era, i think. Children in the book can just jump out or sneak out of their windows and step on graves in the kirkyard where Bobby, the everybody's dog lovingly dwell near his master's grave. On these graves the children can study their lessons or play with Bobby under the moon. I imagine that graveyards were treated unspooky back in the days. ❤❤❤

Germans love their gardens and to see the Beautiful Monuments/gravestones with the soo many diff kinds of little gardens was Amazing!! There are a lot of Catherine’s ( my name & correct spelling) I noticed. My kids have taken ancestry dna test and they are 6-8% Scottish. I’m named after my Aunt Alice Catherine ( my grandmas sister) and she was named after her grandmother or even great grandmother Catherine Kelley!! Anyways, Love & have enjoyed your videos thus far!! Oh 1 more thing- if you take a flashlight (torch) with you even in daylight-can angle on the wording so can read it better!! Happy walking!!❤

Love this - no long s very early on there. Here in NZ we have no gravestones older than 1829, but where I am, none before 1858 as Chch was only established in 1850 and the Maoris too basic to have elaborate headstones. But some 1850s and 1860s graves still have long "s" on them. None old enough to have skulls though. Whats the oldest grave you ever seen with a readable date and script on it (Not like Viking runes or anything), say something like "Heere lyethe ye boddie of Edmund Obadiah whoe dieyed ye day xxi or Aprile yeare of oure lorde mcccclxii" etc.

There were 'resurrectionists' aka bodysnatchers who stole fresh corpses to sell to medical schools for dissection prior to the passage of the Anatomy Act. The Anatomy Act allowed donation of one's body to science. Before this law was passed only executed criminals were available for dissection, and there weren't enough corpses from criminals to suit the needs of the medical schools.
