Me too, I much prefer travelling alone. It’s the ultimate freedom. Especially because I’m interested in history. It would bore people to stay in a museum or ancient site for hours. Only downside, I can’t share the beautiful experience with someone on the ground. Instead, Idrown my family & friends in pictures via Internet 😆

You really have gotten your money's worth with the footwear (sandals). Nice to see such beauty throughout the various scenery. Kind of a bummer to see litter on the hillside before you found St. Perter's Pool, and to see that your destination was so crowded. Good work as usual, and kudos on finding a good, cheap, and peaceful lunch. The crowds really deter me. Cheers amigo.

Hi Gabriel it's so nice seeing my country through the lens and perspective of a tourist. Glad you enjoyed your stay here. I have seen that you were interested in the decorations that you sometimes see on our streets. Every city, town and village have a saint as protector of that place and every church has it's own feast. They all are celebrated throughout the summer season and so every week we have more than one festa going on and those are the decorations you are seeing. You have visited us in the middle of the Festa season. ;-) We are colourful, friendly and quite loud as a nation (like all Mediterraneans I suppose) :-)

tip for pronouncing maltese place names: X makes a "sh" sound Z makes a "ts" sound Ż makes a "z" sound Ċ makes a "ch" sound Ġ makes a "j" sound J makes a "y" sound Ħ makes "h" sound Għ and H are silent unless they are at the end of the word, in which case they are pronounced as "H" (the english "h") (great vid btw)

I was last November there, buses were full, I had to wait 2 hours in Marschaxlokk for the bus, then came one so full of people that you couldn't go inside, and took a taxi (very hard to find) to Valetta. Those restaurants there were all full, you couldn't even find a seat to eat!!! So next time I travel in July, looks so peaceful and tranquil...enjoy!

I look forward to your visit to Birgu (Vittoriosa) during your stay, tell me it’s on your list of places to visit this week, seriously, it’s a must when visiting Malta. Birgu was Malta’s capital before Valletta was built in the 1500’s. At the moment the whole square in the middle of town and surrounding areas within the fortified walls is dressed ready for the Birgu festa which begins next week, quite a sight! You’ve got the harbour and St. Angela’s Fort and lots of pretty streets too. Enjoy...😎

So those hanging stuff mean that from Thurs-Sun there will be outdoor celebrations every evening. More info at www.visitmalta.com/en/village-festas Enjoy your stay - I live in London but was born in & spent 29 yrs of my life in Malta, and you are making me very nostalgic seeing those waters my friend! Btw it is Marsaxlokk where x is pronounced as "sh" as in fish! And next time in Marsaxlokk, the fishing village of Malta, you should go for fish not spare ribs haha. Maybe you go to neighbour town Marsascala which is also full of quality fish restaurants.

Alf Per apologies it was the George cross. People still get the Victoria cross though even to this day despite the fact she’s dead.

Spent 6 months living in St Bay just before Malta joined the EU, beautiful! Can drive around the entire island in 2 hours. I see they finally got rid of those paisley painted busses from India. Added to the charm!

is tip included in the set menu price of $10?
@GabrielTravelerVideos
@GabrielTravelerVideos 5 жыл бұрын
No, not included. I was a little unclear on tipping so I usually tipped around 10% which I think is fine there and probably more than most people tip.

I think one of those girls said "ouch" when you walked by, for no reason. But you should edit out the part where you feel self-conscious, though. Bwahhaha :-)

Paradise? I must be missing something. Looks very barren. Is that what passes for a beach in Malta?
