Welcome to the PH! oh yea, Manila (or should I say Metro Manila) gets a bad rep because of the lack of distinction that travel guidebooks make between the chaotic, underdeveloped City of Manila (which has Mumbai-vibes), and relatively developed and safe Metro Manila (which are on the same level of development as Bangkok and KL). For insider tips to help: BGC, Makati, Ortigas are the most central downtown areas of Metro Manila and where travelers should consider staying. BGC and Poblacion Makati are the main nightlife areas (clubbing, bars, cafes). BGC and Aseana City (which is the new entertainment district right along Manila Bay nearby the airport) are probably the best districts to stay in and explore if staying for only a day or two. Makati is great too but has a lot of traffic; Ortigas is cheaper but doesn't really have much apart from large malls and skyscrapers. The old city of Manila itself is a minefield due to local govt mismanagement and ineptitude. All of the traveler "horror stories" of Manila come from ppl who were unfortunate enough to stay in actual Manila city (i.e. districts like Malate, Quiapo and Binondo etc) and didn't know that Manila city wasn't the same thing as Metro Manila. I wish more travel guidebooks made a clear distinction between "Manila city" and "Metro Manila" to make it way easier for travelers coming here to avoid the old city and stay in the better, interesting and cosmopolitan parts of the metro. Anyway looking forward to see what you think of El Nido Mr 🙌❤

No way you can explore Metro Manila in one day. There are 16 cities and one municipality that comprise metro Manila. Even if you spend an hour fir each city, the traffic alone would eat up your remaining 7 hours ( that is without meal breaks, toilet breaks, waiting for transportation, etc)

I didn't! Just went to a few part of Metro Manila

06:15 BGC is NOT Manila anymore. Same with Venice Grand Canal Mall area. Both these areas are in Taguig -- a city on its own that's 2x the size of Manila. 09:15 OMG, you just walked from BGC to Makati? O_O That is quite an unpleasant trip esp with the hot weather! Anyway, Makati is also a city on its own. It's not Manila either. Since you included Taguig and Makati in your video, this should have been named "Metro Manila" instead of just "Manila".
