You have to constantly cycle the ignition sequence to get the fuel injection mapped correctly, but once you're set it runs fine. We have steadily been above 14,000 ft in Bolivia and my average fuel consumption has been around 4.5 liters / 100km, which is an added bonus. I definitely feel the altitude more than Rose does, but primarily just shortness of breath.

Cheers guys, finding your channel has been a pot of gold. Love the sense of adventure, the grit and the willingness to push on when the road ends. Your story has been inspiring, I sympathize with your struggles as business owners in a foreign country, dealing with beaurocracy and then covid. Your videos are informative and entertaining, thanks Rose you guys do it so well. As for Sth America I'm buzzing at the thought of retiring next year and going to live in Brazil for a while with my Brazilian partner who has a house in Curitiba. Of course I'll be spending a portion of my loot on a bike. Has to be good two up and have cruise control. So good to see the Africa Twin out there doing it, could be an option for us too. Patagonia looks amazing, different in terms of scale but similar to my backyard, the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Take care, look forward to ever more content. Barry and Clarice

Oh wow! You've got too strong votes from us for Brazil! We spent about two and a half months there and plan on returning to the North later this year. Amazing people and by far the best food in South America! A lot of great riding to be had as well! I can't wait to return New Zealand.
