Both of us took a year off to travel and Mexico City was our first stop. On our last day we explored the Anthropology Museum, ate some amazing food, and visited Chapultepec Park with its gorgeous castle.

As someone born and raised in Mexico city I'm so glad that you guys pointed out the big contrast between the tourist areas in CDMX and the actual areas that regular people live in. I believe that like every major city in the world CDMexico has its problems but its still such an amazing city filled with delicious food and super rich culture. Thank you for visiting my country and my city and i hope you guys had a really good time!!

Yes! The good things about the city are amazing, but it’s not the complete reality for the people who live there. Thanks for your comment, Victor!

The slums you saw, are technically not part of Mexico City. They are in a different state.

Thanks for fact checking us. I think the area we saw might have been called Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl or Chimalhuacan I’m not sure. But the contrast was big

Sorry about the "Montezuma's revenge" (traveler's diarrhea). One preventative that works for me (I go to CDMX several times a year), is to take 2-3 pepto tablets every day and avoid tap water, ice, salads, street food and most dairy. It works!

What do you mean "A lot of Gringos here"? Mexico City has many white Mexican residents that are descendant from Europe. Also, certain neighborhoods in Mexico City are populated by white foreigners from all over the world. Mexico City has all kinds of ethnic groups; including Lebanese (almost 1million), Jewish (the Mayor of Mexico City is Jewish). If you walk through districts like Polanco or La Condesa you will encounter many light skinned Mexicans, some Argentines and light skinned migrants from South America.

It was a very interesting visit to Mexico City! although there are many more places to visit and to see there! so its kind of sad that you said that you were leaving that city in the next day! but still you got to see very nice places there! and maybe on your next visit you could see some other nice places there! since it is even the most obvious place to start really exploring America! since that great city is the oldest city in America! and it's also the most populated Metropolitan area in America! It was founded back in 1325! by the Aztecs! as maybe you could see in the Antropology Museum! and the Chapultepec Castle is the only Castle in America! and its nice to see that actually it's even better than many other nice castles in Europe! and even that nice walk in the Colonia Condesa was very nice! Well there's still a lot to see there! but this was also very nice!👍

Thank you for your comment! I had regrets immediately that we didn’t spend more time in Mexico City and the rest of Mexico! There were so many things we didn’t see. However because we live in California we will 100% be visiting a lot. Mexico and Mexican people are especially close to my heart

@@chrisandamanda490 On your next visit to Mexico City I would also recommend you to go the "Soumaya Museum of Art" in the Polanco area! it's very nice and it's very close to the Antropology Museum that you already visited but this one has 7 floors of art! of all ages and from all over the world! and it's totally free of charge every day! This museum belongs to the wealthiest Mexican billionare Carlos Slim! who is also the wealthiest billionare in Latin America! (Net worth: $81.2 US bilion, rank today: 13 in the world according to the Forbes Index). He is also one of the best art collectors in the world! and he decided to have the best of his personal Art collection in that great museum! which has the "Soumaya" name since that was the name of his wife! who was also a great art collector but unfortunately she died back in 1999. Across the street from that Soumaya Museum this great billionare has also the biggest Aquarium in Mexico! but that place is not free of charge as the Soumaya Museum since the entrance fee to that "Inbursa Aquarium" costs around $10 US (or around $200 pesos) but it's still worth it. Mexico City is really one of the best cities in the world to visit! Well, I Hope that you can continue having a good trip.

is so sad let tht city in hands of people who doesn't have idea how to be a big city.. maybe tha capital is going to be worst if they not have any invest on them... I would like the Vlley of Mexico as Cuautitlan Izcalli have more Canadian and American style and make it great.. Mexico is big but the next generation of Americans and Canadians are going to be losing as Spain did when the natives take power and the mestizos have to deal with the natives ogocentric minds... the capital is great but it has been suffer from the same ones... need new people more invest.

It wasn't the tap water, my grandmother, my mother and I always drank tap water, then back in the 70's and 80's started the propaganda of water filters and we drank the tap water from filters, and in the 90's started the propaganda of purified water in bottles. I think it was the street food, I'm Mexican and sometimes I get Moctezuma s revenge (the name is Moctezuma and not Montezuma) And sometimes are the spices and chilies.

I get a Casey Neistat vibe with your videos. All you need is a drone, ha. But seriously, I dig your production values. The camera work, the editing, the hues, the music choice, etc. Well done. Oh yeah, Mexico City is awesome, been there myself a few times. If you ever go back, I recommend the duo of Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende. Sorry, Chris, just one comment about Amanda, she’s very pretty. You are one lucky man. Cheers!
