Try to imagine a 5 or 6 year old Michael walking through this school. Walking in, eating in the cafeteria, going to the music room, ect. It looks all decrepit to us, but it was probably a neat place for him over 50 years ago.

I know right! I met one of MJs teacher, I forgot her name but she was MJs 1st grade teacher. "MJ had alot of good grades and was a good student" that's what she told me but I was young when I met her. I think I met her in a dollar store.

Enjoyed the exploration. Found some info from a Michael Jackson memorial site that explains the dates you discovered. Peace! ✌ Follow Michael’s footsteps from his house to *** Elementary School that he attended with some of his siblings. The school was closed, then reopened as an adult education center called ***. Academy. In 2001, it was closed again, but appeared to be reopened as of March, 2010 as *** of Hope, Inc.

They were getting the copper out of that lab room for scrap or to cap the gas lines. Some of them had Bunsen burners at each syation.

The school was closed in the 90s, then reopened as an adult education center called Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy. In 2001, it was closed again, but appeared to be reopened as of March, 2010 as Images of Hope, Inc. There was no Memorial at this school. Went there from 1973 to 1977.

The school closed in 2004 due to budgetary constraints and a greatly diminished student population. The final graduating class consisted of only 72 students. The neighboring John H Vohr Elementary School closed too in 2010.
