Exploring Muscat, Oman: One of the World's Strangest Cities

I had the pleasure to visit the country of Oman's cpital, Muscat and I had a great time there.
Highlights:
Visit Oman's largest mosque, Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque which also houses the 2nd largest carpet in the world
Wander about in Mutrah souq, located near the corniche. Great place to bargain for Omani dresses, spices and more
Shop till I drop at Oman's largest mall, City Centre Muscat which has 100s of shops and is a great way to spend half a day in an air-conditioned environment.

yeah they do but it's true that it must be far less than in neighboring Dubai or even Qatar. Life is harder here, mass tourism market is nascent and will take years to truly develop but that's the unique charm of Oman. Once there, you've got the country for yourself
