Welcome to Oman guys! as a local Omani I am really happy that people are starting to discover Oman , We don't have the numbers of tourists that visit Saudi or the UAE or even Qatar , we are a bit under the radar. But Oman and the government are really pushing forward to show the world what its really like over here , because we do believe that we could benefit economically a lot by investing in tourism. Lots of huge projects are being planned for the future , we hope to see anyone who visits us once comes again for another joyful times. Thanks for sharing our little big hidden gem country to the world :).

@@junaidanwar999 they still try to keep it low-key in terms of architecture and sustainability of the buildings. Old - Modern looking buildings a mix between the two.. They don't want glass buildings and very tall skyscrapers everywhere it's gonna ruin the Omani vibe.

@@FS-eh4dj In Oman, there are three Islamic sects, including Sunnis and Shiites, and the sect most closely affiliated with it in Oman is the Ibadi sect. In Oman, you find people from all these sects coexisting without racism. They pray in the mosque together without separation between them, unlike in other countries. Omanis are peaceful and friendly in their dealings with others, and this is what distinguishes them.

Oman is utterly fantastic, the people are incredible, but it’s so much better than this Vlog. You have the Musandam Peninsular, absolutely stunning. The Wahiba Sands with the only wild Arabian Orix, the Rub al Khali the largest expanse of desert in the world with red sand dunes as high as sky scrapers, but for me the best is Dhofar. It has monsoon rains every summer. Wadi Darbat and Khor Rori are my favourite places on Earth.

My wife told me about Oman but I didn't think much about it as we've been to several ME countries (UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan). This video shows why it's different. However, it may not work for everyone. There are different types of travelers. Some will love the luxury and modernity of Dubai & Qatar while others love the rugged exploratory nature of Wadi Rum & the Pyramids. My wife and I love it all, but wherever we go, we always need the comfort of a proper hotel (hostels don't cut it). Looking forward to experiencing Oman on our next next trip to the Middle East. Edit: We were also inspired by Aladdin and stories from 1001 Nights (aka Arabian Nights)

Lived in GCC for 40 years and all countries in GCC are brilliant. I am from England and my first posting was Bahrain in 1989. First time I went to the UAE they had only just finished paving the Airport. I love Oman but ultimately since 2018 Saudi standard of living for expats is maybe the best in the world next to Abu Dhabi.. The UAE Dubai and then Bahrain and Saudi are hard on families as there is to much temptation for women and men. There are singles who are successful everywhere and there's always a party going on. Oman is toned down and therefore much better for families.

As an Aussie I lived and worked in Sinbads home town of Sohar for 12 months its a beautiful country, full of history and the people are probably some of the most welcoming I have ever met. Loved Muscat, Niswa, Sohar, the mountains, the historic forts, the mosques, the food , the spices and the beaches are also amazing. The heat can be challenging in summer but thats no different from parts of Australia. The biggest risk I ever faced in Oman was the threat of being invited into the home of friendly locals and offered coffee and dates - the problem was that I didnt like coffee or dates. Honking your horn is frowned upon but actually abusing another driver can be a whole lot more serious and you may find yourself being visted by the ROP (Royal Omani Police). Mountain Dew was often called Omani Champagne by the locals they absolutely loved it - if you ever get a chance to visit Oman you should jump at it.

Thank you for another nice video, Joe and Liisu. A friendly reminder: Middle East is a propaganda term coined in the 19th century by a random barbarian colonialist in a colonial empire for their colonies in the Indian subcontinent. Then, in the 20th century, they somehow started using this term for another random set of countries. This term, which I normally even refuse to pronounce, has zero validity in geography, science, culture, politics etc. In the last few decades, through their media, they have been running smear campaigns on this concept that they call the Middle East and have been trying to indoctrinate us to associate this fabricated concept with wars, terror, backwardness etc. This is their way of manufacturing consent to run invasions, commit genocides, create unlawful domination and steal resources. I believe we all should refrain from using such colonial propaganda terms. (I am definitely sure you guys are not using this term for the same purpose.) I enjoy watching your trips. Cheers!

Dubai and Doha and Riyadh are westernised by modern capitalistic regimes by oil money and by the involvement of the western governments with groups inside the region who wants protection from these western government so they can take the throne in the region and give western governments what they want. Like for example, they want their agenda and propaganda and everything allowed in the region and they need their investments or soft occupation to be established in the ground So, if you visit same these places, actually you are not exploring the region, you are exploring what western governments wants you to see in the region which matches many western people desires in the region And these normal people in the west who desire to see something like this in the region, they don’t understand that they are harming themselves because western governments want you to feel comfortable with the foolishness that they feed you in west so they don’t want you to feel not comfortable when someone from other side of the world to challenge this comfort I encourage any western to explore the real people in the region who are against the west And when I said against the west, I don’t mean against the “ race “ nations in west. I mean the ideologies in the west which sadly many western think it is the good model for the world.

So what you basically saying to him is go to houthi runed Yemen 😂 cuz they're "anti" West right? WRONG. It's doesn't get more ARAB in the Arabian peninsula than SAUDI ARABIA. It have almost all the space, history, tribes everything. Saudis ARE the arabs. And no one is more connected to their culture than them, so you, trying to sneak Riyadh in here is funny. Couldn't care less about UAE and Qatar but come CORRECT when speaking on Saudi. Riyadh is the biggest and most populated city in the Arabian peninsula with 9M residents expected to be 15 in the upcoming decade... its full of history (check diriyah) but Riyadh is not gonna pass on all the god given opportunities (like geographically-literally it being in the middle of world) to be a major business, financial and logistic hub to please your fetish over undeveloped neglected arab cities. The same goes for Jeddah, mecca, madina, Abha and Eastern province. All of them have history, diverse culturally from food to Arabic accents to traditional clothing to a very unique architecture but all of them will have the modern twists to them. 😘😉

@@malconsak You simply mad because I bring Riyadh to the picture by the way I am from arab peninsula and I did not say anyone against the west has all the solutions but I mean they need to put what their super powers governments in west feed them under test because all the governments including the government I used to supported when I was foolish here in Arabia, they all western governments puppets I say this not because I am anti race nations in the west as I already explained but I am against the ideologies came from west and westerners have to wake up because all of us have many many work to do together It is so strange maybe to some people in west who are fooled by their government to take this huge step but the problem is so huge to the point where all of us as humans are under attacked by specific people and these people are in order for example there is super powers and there is disgusting puppets I know it is harsh reality but I have to say it I break all your idols

I have been to Oman twice - the first time was to Muscat and the surrounding tourist sites including Sultan Qaboos Mosque, and the second time was very recently on the south coast in Salalah which I think is even better especially the surrounding areas, viewpoints and amazing beaches

Excuse You!!! Every Gulf country is unique (Oman, U.A.E, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait 🫶🏻”biased ‘cause it’s my country”, & Saudi Arabia). But truth to be said, Oman is the kindest most humble of Us all. They still abide by our culture and heritage. They are down to earth and welcoming, and they care less about how the world is moving on a fast pace. The most peaceful and majestic nature and vistas. 10/10. يا عمان ما غيرك وطن 🇴🇲 عسى ربي يحفظها من عين كل حاسد و يزيدكم من فضله يا بختكم ❤

I’m laughing that I’m not the only one who thought this. He speaks like Bjorn and Ragnar from “Vikings” show. Love “Vikings”. On side note, I’m American, did DNA test and discovered I have Arabic ancestry so would love to visit Oman someday

I come from the east coast of South Africa and when I visited Muscat, the sea smelled like home. I drove from Abha in the UAE to Muscat (in a luxury car, though😂) and the scenery was amazing!

Welcome, dear, to the Sultanate of Oman. Oman is a wonderful country in which all the terrains and climates of the world are located. Respects and welcomes all cultures and beliefs without favour.By visiting Oman, you can save time, effort and expenses. There is a wonderful divine pluralism in Oman. All rituals, all geography, all inspiration were given by God. Extracts from every fruit, as well as from every orchard in the world' The marvel of the East in the true sense of the word. The seashores, the islands, the mountains, the plains, the sandy desert, the valley, the falaj, pure crazy nature, an Arab cultural heritage that has not, has not, and will not be marred by globalization and modernity, the enemy of man and the advancement of the idea. We rise with logical, non-obsessive balance, documenting the past with the present♥🇴🇲
