I love the innocence and pureness of you and martha. You remind viewes not to distrub the structure and leave what you find there. I see other old couples on Utube actually climbing and walking throuth connect extremly fragil ruins and distrubing relics and shards laying on the ground. Good work!!

They could be signal towers where fires burned to communicate with others in the area

Have you been to Hovenweep National Monument, or seen pictures of it? First time I ever saw the tower structures. There are several towers there also close together. Maybe they were strongholds. Are the openings possibly doors and not windows?

I have, but it has been a while. They do seem similar to those towers. And quite possibly, they were very big windows

They appear to be lookout towers. I would venture to say they had adversaries.
