One of the main things to do when visiting Japan besides food, shopping, and soapland, is definitely sightseeing. Being able to walk around looking at ancient and beautiful architecture in many of Japan's Unique Shrines and temples is definitely something that everyone should experience. In this video, I'll bring you guys along through a fantastic walkthrough of Okayama's most unique shrine - Kibitsu Jinja! We also have a Japan Heritage Shrine, KYOTO.

Great vid - thanks! I love the on-site visual content as well as your unique non-sanitised commentary! That was a pretty cool Gingko tree too. As I'm currently planning a trip for later this year, this was very timely for me, and great to learn that I can look at the Shinkansen timetable and maybe juggle a visit - so thanks again. Btw - we have the same problems here when the old people escape from lockdown. It's particularly noticeable around the cheap meal and gambling venues on pension days. 😜

Thank you for your kind comment, man! Really appreciate it! Okayama has a very busy main train station connecting Japan to Hiroshima and Kyushu, so a half day, or even a few hours, is well spent here while waiting for the next shinkansen 🇯🇵

Great video as always! And it was quite funny seeing you have to bow down through some of the gates and beams 😅 You should totally go back in November so we can see the golden leaves of the Ginkgo tree :)

Thank you! The whole area is supposed to have great colors in the fall, so I'll try to get back there for that!

Kibitsu-Jinja looks to be pretty spacious just like Korakuen. I've never been to Okayama during my five year stay in Japan, but since I went to the touristy places, I'd rather go somewhere like Ishikawa, Okayama, or Shizuoka next time. Maybe all three. 😁 That was too bad about the old people, maybe you can find the perfect time to relax there. Thanks for taking the time to make this tour. 🫡 0:55 Poor Momo-taro. 🤣 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Much less crowded! I was there at 9am (dhrine opens at 6am) and there was no one, until a retirement tour group of 100 old people came to walk around there and have tea lol
