Thanks for watching, Oliver! That's what I thought too. As mentioned a few times already here, it was really pleasing to see how much I was able to use this library within the last days to breathe more life into my tracks. It seems to work on anything! :)

Got this one pre-ordered! Time Macro is so inspiring and always a great jumping off point for inspiration. I know Micro will be as well. Plus, when all you hear these days is "hybrid scoring" I love that these are REAL instruments and voices.
@AlexPfeffer5 жыл бұрын
Yep! When I heard the "processed" patches at the very beginning, it really felt like sound design for a few milliseconds ... until I realized that it is all (or mostly) arranged orchestral instruments patches.

I have too many libraries like most composers these days. BUT a few are just golden! 1- Albion Solstice - Mother of Inspiration, I call it. A “folk noir orchestra” sounds like a gimmick BUT IT REALLY IS A GOTHIC ORCHESTRA like the people from “Midsommer” would chant to. Gorgeous timbres you WILL NOT find elsewhere and very well done on the others. Ie yes you'll find a hurdy gurdy vst easy but 999/1000 sound like well you know. This one is a real organic sound quivering with harmonics and mechanisms- but the folk choir- the best choir outside expensive choral vsti. As good or better than Genesis, folk choir with ancient Celtic articulations. Solstice gives ideas when you have none. 2- Time micro (the video) has a SHWACK of many many curated combos with rich layered timbres as he shows off at the start. BUT ALSO!! That's the Time Orchestra made of instrument recordings. Then you also get another whole set of processed or hybrid sounds BUT the cool thing is you also get the instruments which make those sounds: Choir Contrabass clarinet Bass flute Zither Celeste Mandolin (and about 7 more individual instruments as well) ALSO! Combinations like Mandolin, Zither and Harp etx (isn't there also a string ensemble with many rare articulations?) Awesome stuff!!

The first little mini-screencast that OT put out almost had me feeling a bit remorseful about impulsively pre-ordering; Kinda gave me a misleading impression about how many patches there are and how useful they might end up being for me and what I intended to use it for... But after making it halfway through this video you've not only put my mind to rest, but now I'm getting all kinds of giddy goosebumps in anticipation of it. I think I may have even just wet myself a bit. \*,*/

Great walkthrough and the announcement video music made this an easy sell for me! I have a small question that maybe someone here can help me with: I see the OT libraries visible in the kontakt libraries list here - is this something that works only with full libraries from OT (as in, I have to go into the files browser to find my Berlin strings add ons). Thanks!
@AlexPfeffer5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, thank you! If you open Native Access and put in the serial number you should see it in your list of, I think, uninstalled libraries. If you then locate them on your drives, you should see it in the Kontakt library browser :)

Hey Greater of us! :D ... I totally hear ya. Usually, I record with Camtasia and the webcam but when I do exploring videos like this one, I use the feed of my Sony Alpha 6400 plus the recorded screen of Camtasia and put it back together. No Screenflow here! PC guy :)

New at making orchestral/film music, so this might be a dumb question. Is Time Micro completely standalone or do you need the Berlin series first for example? Looks like a great library to get me started.
@AlexPfeffer5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, no you don't need anything of the Berlin series. This is a completely standalone product. Everything I use in this video is from Time Micro. It even comes with the free Kontakt player, but also obviously works with the full version, just in case you got Kontakt 5 already.
