Dr Jose Rizal our national hero was a linguist .He spoke like a dozen languages including Spanish.His most famous revolutionary books are written in Spanish.Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.He was not part of the armed resistance fighting spain but he used his intelligence as his weapon .His works and literature inspired the katipuneros to revolt against the Spaniards and friars.🇵🇭

Bagumbayan was the former name of Luneta/Rizal Park. Aside from Dr. Jose P. Rizal, three Filipino priests Padre Mariano Gomez, Padre Jose Burgos and Padre Jacinto Zamora better known as GomBurZa were executed in Bagumbayan by garrote. The second novel of Dr. Jose P. Rizal titled El Filibusterismo was dedicated to the three Filipino priests.
