Wonderful, thank you. I visited in 1982, almost nobody there, and the atmosphere was incredible - totally unlike St Peters.

I was there last year and it was an absolute zoo (this is why I do not have a video from that visit, it was impossible to videotape anything from the crowds)

I've been at this fantastic basilica few weeks ago and at 7:30, you'll see six empty circles like Vic says, but there are five more on the other side. Right behind pope Francis's portrait. So there is eleven places remaining for the portrait of a new pope.

This church is so beautiful. One of my favorites of Rome. And that's saying something considering how many beautiful churches Rome has. Have had a chance to visit it twice, and have left super impressed both times. Thanks for the video. There aren't enough videos of this wonderful building around KZbin:) On a semi-side note, I have a question for you or anyone else reading this who has been there: There is a mystery tomb that (not St. Paul's) that I've not been able to find info on. As you enter the Basilica from the back through the courtyard, and towards the back right corner of the church (it's somewhat dark), there is a wooden model of what the old church looked like, before the fire. Right next to model, slightly nearer the back of the church, there is a see through portion of the floor (large thick glass tile you can stand on), enabling you to view a tomb with a sarcophagus inside just below the floor. One end of the sarcophagus' top is missing allowing you to see the leg and feet bones of who ever it is that is resting there. The tomb is unmarked and I haven't been able to find any info on Google about it. Though maybe I'd take a stab here and ask about it, because it has bugged me for a long time. Here's a small photo album describing what I am talking about: imgur.com/a/UCtgSAt Thanks again for the wonderful video:)

I remember being there, when you leave the building by the main entrance and across on the other side of the street and go left for a bit, before there is an intersection, on the right there will be the St Bede's building.

I don't think the world will collapse if there isn't any more space for the picture of a pope to be put up... Probably the Church will collapse... possibly even before those 6 spots are used up with the way its going.
