We sailed out if San Juan on a Sunday. Flew in on Saturday and enjoyed the street festival held every Saturday across from the park...next to the stores. Music, food venders and people having fun.

Mmmm... mofongo = island mashed potatoes with pig fat! Oh golly yes!

Well, the equivalent, I should say. Mofongo is like mashed potatoes, but made of semi-ripened cooked mashed plantains and usually topped with roasted pork or shrimp. As a southern woman.... me and these folks agree hard on what good food is.

Lido I don't want to be a pain, but next time you nice couple visit the island don't forget to visit the following places in Old San Juan: the Capitol building, constitution Avenue which fronts the south side of the Capitol building as it has a lot of monuments and its very impressive, la fortaleza which is where the governor lives (also called "Malachi de Santa Catalina) it is the oldest executive mention in the new world. Also there an awful lot of local restaurants in the area with an incredible array of delicious puerto Rican dishes, take your pick. Lao see pace de la princess a promenade along the old city wall with fountains and sculptures, I think you guys will like it. If I lived there I would take u around as a guide tour.

The sail ship is Juan Sebastián de Elcano a training ship for the Royal Spanish Navy. It is a four-masted topsail, steel-hulled barquentine.
