The Wild Boar and Beaver are already back in Scotland and the native woodlands around Abernethy (and in several other areas of Scotland) are being expanded. "Trees For Life" and other groups are playing an important part in restoring the natural woodlands.

Yes, you're right, it's very exciting! I love 'Trees For Life' and am really keen to join one of their volunteer weeks as soon as they're starting up again. So inspiring!

I have just been there. This boreal forest put a spell on me. It's magic, it's so wild and full of energy. I picked up blueberries, they are bigger than those in the Alps! I made a long trip in Scotland last month, but Cairngorms National Park is something I will never forget!

Hi Alexandra, another beautiful video which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was so nice to see you fall in love with our native caledonian forest - it is very special and needs a lot of protection. It's thought that it only represents just 1% of the forests that used to cover most of Scotland and thank goodness we've woken up to how important these habitats and the flora & fauna they support are. There are lots of great projects to re-grow and re-wild and I hope future generations will have even more to explore, enjoy and cherish. Very happy to subscribe - all the best, David :-)

You might want to check out Leena Henningsen's videos. She lives in Northern Norway. Canada is a great place for wild forests. Even in my city of Toronto there are many wild ravines/parks. I'm always finding new wild, forest escapes. It gives me peace of mind.

Your beautiful voice is so gentle and soothing it's a breath of fresh air on a balmy summer's day. I too feel such deep sadness for the loss of so much wilderness where the purity of Nature is so expansive. Jay Griffiths Wild resonates so deeply and it was such a joy to read. I'm reading another book of hers, Tristimania, a profoundly poetic glimpse of madness from the eye of the storm which is profoundly brave and enlightening. So wonderful to discover like minded and heartfelt authenticity that keeps that light burning bright though the tunnel can often feel forever long and winding. Thank you.

I just found your channel today and subscribed and have watched several videos, mostly the ones in Scotland. It's funny that you mentioned Jonna Jinton in this video because after the last video before this one I said out loud "I have found my other Jonna Jinton!" You remind me of her in many ways. Thank you for sharing your story. I feel thoroughly saturated with joy as I watch you and listen to your voice, which has a way of wrapping you in nurturing comfort. You take me to such a peaceful place. Thank you

There are reasons for the pull certain wild places have on us. It’s good to indulge that even tho you may never be able to explain it.

Hi, firstly I love your videos and particularly this one! We, that is myself and my two dogs (mini schnauzers), Edwin and April, often stay in village of Nethy Bridge in the heart of Abernethy Forest. The walks we take through the forest and past Loch Garten feel so magical and spiritual. I need to be here at least twice a year (I live in Manchester) and during the lockdown I feel that I need to be there more than ever! Some of the walks we take we don't pass anyone, which is quite unique experience in such a small and densely populated country as Scotland or the UK in general. Thanks Alexandra for the book recommendation too! Keep the videos coming, you're doing a wonderful job! Liked and subscribed x

I've watched lots of your videos in just one day while I've had a day off I still have lots more to watch. I love them your passion and how you make the videos is fantastic I love your style and your creative mind. Scotland is such a beautiful place it's wild at times but it is one magical place. I also read the book wild it's something we all really want in life the chance to be free from everyday life. Every day life working to pay bills is not really living it's just something we have to do. Sometimes i wish i could just do what Chris McCandless did and lose myself from the world we live in. Lucky i have the knowledge not to eat something i shouldn't but Chris sure did live free. It was a sad ending for such a lovely guy. And one of the things he said what always sticks in my mind was his best times in life was when he had nothing just nature
