When I watch these videos, they truly remind me how many times people in Serbia rebuilt their country from scratch. Fortresses, monasteries, cities... Than a lot of people from the West ask us why are the Serbs fanatic about their country and everything and maybe answer lies in the history and the tradition of its people. We are truly great rebuilders of our ancestors legacy and hopefully we will create in these times something for our children and that they will preserve our legacy and peace. Cheers Gabe for reminding me all that and much love to you! I really enjoyed your tour around Serbia!

@@GabrielTravelerVideos Did you hear about a different ancient Roman fortress- Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad - the area was inhabited by Celtic people but Romans came and conquered them? It has some old underground tunnels. I don't know much about it though. Here on Wikipedia shows how old the settlement was: At the Upper Fortress, the remains of an earlier Paleolithic settlement dating from 19,000 to 15,000 BC has been discovered. With this new development it has been established that there has been a continuous settlement at this site from the Paleolithic age to the present. During the excavations carried out in 2005, archeologists also discovered another significant find. Examining remains from the early Bronze Age (c. 3000 BC), ramparts were discovered which testify that already at that time a fortified settlement existed at the Petrovaradin site.

Dear Gabriel , I want to thank you for the nice videos and every nice word about Serbia that you said. I hope you enjoyed. We don’t have a lot of opportunities to travel so we watch your videos. If you had to describe Serbia in five words, what would those words be? Best regards .

Lepenski Vir is best understood if you see the video of how it was dug out in one of the museum rooms. It takes about 15 minutes or so. And there is the museum with artefacts.

You should keep driving forward deeper into Djerdap national park. There is viewpoint called "Ploče"(Plates) where you see the gorge from above looks like Norwegian fjords. P.S. To visit it you need to contact Djerdap National Park, ranger company is mandatory.
