New Castle is a great small town and growing wonderfully. You should have taken walks thru Memorial Park and visited the Veterans museum, or been here for the Christmas walk or eaten at Primos on Broad St.

If you get a chance ever on your current trip in Indiana or whenever, stop in Nashville, Indiana. That’s a hidden Southern Indiana gem right off Interstate 65

I wouldn't call this exactly exploring but just a drive through of New Castle. You turned up Broad street turned south onto 18th/103 . There is much more to New Castle then those 2 roads. You didn't even go by the largest field house in the world. You didn't go by the Basket Ball hall of Fame Steve Alford Inn . You did go by the old Courthouse but if you would had stopped there you would had seen that this is Raintree County and would had seen the plaque for Elizabeth Taylor for the movie Raintree County. A lot comes from this area like Robert Indiana who is famous for the LOVE that has been seen all over the world. If you would had turned right at Little Ceasars and followed that road down until it T's You would have seen the LOVE art and been on Robert Indiana Street. There are so many other things about New Castle like Wibur Wright elementary school yep named after one of the Wright Brothers the Wright Brothers Museum wasn't to far away either.

I know right! That field house where the basketball team plays, is the largest one in the world. I remember spending many nights going to games with my friends while in junior high school. Parkview Junior High school. I also went to the Seventh grade building, I was wondering if that school building is still there? I grew up in New Castle, Indiana, and I miss that town.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGSIt’s small, but there’s a lot more to show and if you’re going to document a city, then the respectful thing to do would be to spend a few nights and meet people asking them the important places to highlight.

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS well Live Oak is small and Lake City in Florida, we are at least 2 or 3 times bigger than those cities. Better yet Ft.Mccoy lol. I've been all through Florida. I was born in St.pete. That makes Naples look small. I had a good friend from Naples. Trust Indiana is a much better place to live. If you have a good job, making a living is alot easier. Sure we have rainy and snowy weather, but the economy and housing prices are worth it. You have to be wealthy or a rich retiree to live comfortable in Florida. They charge you for the paradise. Southern California or Hawaii is even worse. I don't understand New York being so expensive. Nothing paradise about it. Small or not, you would be surprised what those towns have to offer. We have 3 parks. 4 if you count Westwood lake. We have retro cruise on Broad St. every 2 weeks which brings most of the community up there to see nice classic cars and a Dj that plays loud music. and live bands. Lots of food and snack stands. We used to be notorious for weekend cruises, every weekend it was bumper to bumper traffic. I looked like Indianapolis rush hour. This town surprisingly comes to life like no other small towns. Theres hundreds and thousands of people at Memorial Park for the fair and 4th of July. It looks lively for a small town. You missed some good places to eat. Pizza King had unique pizza. We are the only state i believe you can find it. Their toppings are the best. Parks restaurant is awesome. You get huge portions for your money. Home made style food. About anything you want. Our places are pretty sanitized. Anything around here that isn't gets shut down by osha. They are strict about sanitation.

Yes, This is my hometown. It's not much. It's small only 17,180 people. But it is safer than Muncie or Anderson. I like going to both for shopping. They have alot more to choose from lol.

Yeah I grew up there too. I miss that charming small town! I moved away in 1996, but I would love to go back and have a reunion with my great friends I made while being in Junior High at Parkview Junior High school.

Primo would have been a great option, along with Weenie World, Stacks, Temptations, and the Park Restaurant. Lots of local options!

OMG, they literally drove right past Primo. Also... way to not turn your camera from the left or the right. I love seeing the pavement of any town. 🤦‍♀ I wish I had time to take a camera and record pavement and make sweeping and incorrect judgements about the place where this pavement is located. 🤣

If you think she was to close to the cops ,then you should had went on up to Indiana Ave. because you actually ran over old Graves going up broad street when you passed 9th and Broad. They built over an old cemetery and it is Sai that they missed a lot of Graves when they was being relocated.

theres a massive road in Naples, Florida where we are from.. SAME ISSUE. Pine Ridge Road. Sadly its african american sites there that are under the roads. Tampa Florida, Housing projects.. odd right? both Florida cases, always African American graves.

We do look like Kentucky or West Virginia, one of the few Indiana towns that has that feel to it. It's hard to believe we have 17,180 people. It seems the size of Live Oak or Lake City Florida which has a bigger nicer downtown. But both has alot less people than us. I was born in St. Pete by the way and lived there for awhile when I was 8 and 9 years old.

Hi. I don’t speak for Jose & Katie, but I was born & brought up in Alabama. I spent years trying to get out & finally got out. I believe Alabama has a regressive mentality. They hate change & fight it, but life is change. They are on the wrong side of history for the most part. The most successful, smartest, kindest people whom I knew there couldn’t wait to leave Bama & never look back. 😊

I don't mind Dollar General, It's only about 3 blocks from my house. I'm glad it's where it is. I'm close to that, Dollar Tree, Kroger, and Shell on 6th and Broad St.
