Have alot of precious memories of Cordell since I was a little girl. Lived outside of Dill City while my Dad was stationed at Burns Flat AFB. As I got older visited my Grandparents as often as I could there outside of Dill City. And brought my family to visit that area many times. That area will always hold a special place in my heart.

Love your Oklahoma videos. I'm new to the south and cover all of Texas and Oklahoma for work. Oklahoma deserves more love, especially the small towns. The death of rural America is so sad, though.

Thank you! I appreciate your comments. It is sad. There aren't as many jobs out there anymore and is it slowly dying. But it is happening all over the world so the USA isn't an exception.

I just went to Cordell a few days ago. I loved it ! It reminded me of once thriving towns in West Virginia. Great video and thank you . Next time you are in Cordell, eat @ Bean and Ladle. They have the BEST chicken salad sandwich EVER ❤.

I spent my childhood in Cordell. Corn isn't west of Cordell, it is north east

What was it like growing up in Cordell? Thanks for the clarification on directions.
@stanleyshannon44086 ай бұрын
@planetbell1 it was a wonderful place to grow up in the 50s and 60s. Probably the best time ever to be a young boy. Quite unique culture in the sense that nearly everyone there descended from the original land run settlers of the 1890s. A lot of animosity towards the Germans up at Corn. About half the population was from the old Midwestern pioneers and about half from the old South. So, quite traditional American upbringing.
