I would like to point out a couple of things. You passed through Turpin and made no mention of the town. It's actually divided up in 2 locations. One at the junction of 64 & 83, a convenience store, post office, and most important, a very nice school ! Very competitive in all aspects of a Pre-K through 12 school. I'm sure the people would have appreciated the coverage. The rest of the town is located near the Kansas border following U.S Highway 83. There you will find a few more businesses such as wrecker service, car dealership, oil well services, etc. Some might say it is on the outskirts of Liberal, KS. . . . . you also missed a few others just south of Turpin, Adams & Baker. Plus a few other towns west of Guymon. Goodwell and Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Felt, going into New Mexico . . . .The pronunciation of Boise City is not like Boise, Idaho. The "e" is silent, think "boys". . . . . I enjoyed living out there, it is something different.

Good work, as usual. :) I laughed at the forest rumored to be used by devil worshippers…. We had one in the Tulsa area when I was a kid - we scared each other walking around in it at night. Promoting Trump “just to fit in” is part of the problem, though. The Emperor’s New Clothes

"Sports have become so competitive these days"... that's the whole point. Also, no one cares who / what you want to love. But we do care about our kids being sexualized. That's really about it...

Competitive varsity sports are important to kids, the school, and the community, but they do exclude millions of kids who want to play sports but don't want the expense and time commitment. It is just an idea to give more kids opportunities.

@@planetbell1 oh I agree with you, COED sports are a GREAT thing and more funding should go toward that. However, pure competition at it's finest, is something that burns deep inside true athletes and is the foundation of sports. Unfortunately, when males compete in female sports (huge biological advantage), the competition is ruined for girls/women. I love your idea that we perhaps need new categories in sports... 100% for it. Take care, my friend.

If you grew up in OK you know that there are a lot of marijuana smokers here. All of them apparently got out and voted however they did not pass recreational probably because of so many dispensaries opening up. No one thought there would be so many! The Bible does not prohibit though.

I lived in Enid and for a brief time in Snyder when I was 10. I ran trains through Clinton, Cordell, Snyder,, Thomas and Waynoka. Clinton was the end of our run from Enid and we stayed in the Clancy hotel that you pictured to get our rest for the return trip. Also visited the Little Sahara several times for motorcycle riding in the winter. Why winter? Much more fun when the sand is wet and when you work up a sweat it's not because it's hot. I've never been to Beaver, Freedom or Medacine Park but Medacine Park looks like an intersting place to visit. There was one big rocky hill in Snyder my brother and I liked to play on when we lived there. We'd never seen anything like it being from Enid. Thank you for stirring up those memories.
