Exploring Strategies to Overcome Trauma & Inner Rage with Dr Gabor Maté
Society should empower everyone, but many lack real power because of hidden influences. For instance, in the US, lots of moms go back to work too soon after having a baby, risking their health and their baby's. How moms feel during pregnancy affects their baby's brain and future happiness, so they need lots of support.
It's important for moms to get emotional help during pregnancy. Natural birth helps moms and babies bond because of hormones, but sometimes hospitals do too much. Having midwives lead childbirth can be better for moms and babies.
Investing in young families and education saves money in the long run. Teaching about how kids grow up helps kids do better in school and in life. If we focus on feelings instead of just punishing kids, we can help them avoid serious problems later on.
Understanding and dealing with trauma is important in healthcare. Holding in anger from trauma can hurt your health, like causing heart problems. Being open about how you feel, like Joe Rogan talks about, helps make you stronger.
