one of the first things I did when I got my model 3, was change it where I can't see the mileage remaining only the percentage. That has taken so much stress out of my life! 😂

might be worth adding that the P85+ is apparently the best driving Model S. Something about the huge boatstructure just feeling better to drive when just the rearwheels are powered by a huge motor than AWD....

I have a B rev battery in my 2013 60. At 102k it seems to be holding up well. I have had some items serviced under warranty the last 50k miles driven. Rear axle clunk-replaced axle nuts, washers, lubed and torqued. Adjusted driver window, it was hitting B pillar and wind noise at A pillar. Driver door handle wouldn't open door, removed and repaired. MCU bubble, screen replaced. 12volt battery needed service, removed and replaced. Minor issues as far as I'm concerned. The car has been very reliable never has left me stranded or not driveable.

I have a 2015 Tesla Model S 70D and thus far it has 85K miles, Tesla replaced the passenger side door handle without charge. But every thing else still looking good. My MCU still holding fine. But probably will replace down the lien if needed. The paint is still hold fine as I still wash it by hand only. The battery charge is roughy 93% of its original capacity and looking good.

Might should mention to look at the label on the battery for the revision letter on Medel S/X. The sticker is visable just behind the right hand side front wheel. Seems that the "D" suffix is a solid battery. Eariler ones might not be as reliable.

Our 2013 Tesla S with 100k miles has the original A battery pack and is nearly perfect with only 3% degradation in 7 years!
@kens97sto1713 жыл бұрын
@@smartelectriccar That's great for you that the battery nhas low degradation. But 100,000 miles in 7 years is really not that much.. although I guess it's actually pretty close to the average miles driven for most people. Unfortunately my use case is not average. I've put 150,000 miles on my Prius in the last three years. And the car has 350,000 miles total. When I see numbers close to 300- 400,000 miles, and they're still going strong with few failures, that's when I start to get excited because that's what I expect currently out of a gas powered car

I have a 2010 Mercedes C300 with 245k Miles. Only thing I replaced was the Thermostat, one lightbulb, sparkplugs, one battery, and the serpentine accessory belt. Just for comparison purposes.

It is interesting how a lot of EV fans somehow think the gas powered cars are these terrible vehicles that break down all the time. When that's really not true I'm not bashing electric vehicles I like them a lot myself. I've got a 2008 Toyota Prius 350,000 MI. I've put 150,000 on it in the last 3 years. Factory water pump failed at 280k, change the spark plugs every 125k, preemptively changed the inverter coolant pump at 280k cost $60. Overall the car costs me $0.07 per mile to operate. That's fuel all maintenance costs and tires. Keep in mind I do my own maintenance oil changes and transmission fluid changes so that drops my costs down. But still pretty damn good and the car was super cheap and I can buy parts for it and I can repair it myself. it's one of my biggest gripes with Tesla and concerns also is the inability to buy some parts and even if you can get the part it has to be VIN coded and reprogrammed, which Tesla probably won't do for you

@@dexterm1285 Yep. Still on the original. It's getting weaker. Lost capacity. But I'm lucky the modules are all pretty equal in output. That is what usually causes an issue. One bad module in the middle of the pack.

Hi there. I’m a retired teacher of media studies and past documentary maker before that. May I please make some observations about this video- please, if you are going to be pointing something out on a car, have the camera operator go close into the objects you are talking about. Such as the scratches and wheels. It helps the audience maintain interest if you carefully show what you are talking about. Cheers.

So a 2014 model s with 80k miles going for 34k would actually be a good deal? I’ve been debating on a model s vs a Prius prime with way less miles for almost the same amount. Anyone have any thoughts?
@iolfido29752 жыл бұрын
I bought a 2014 p85 for 32 thousand with 80 thousand miles a little over a year ago. I am very happy with the decision. Only negative things to say is the weather stripping on my panoramic roof had to be replaced an my back left tail light I noticed was collecting water. Both of these were replaced under the limited warranty I received from the seller of the vehicle. All in all a great value 👌
