One of the last haunts I've worked at ! Definitely haunted late at night ! Experienced many an apparition and strange goings on in the early morning hours ! I miss this gem of a bowling alley ! 48 lanes , a restaurant , a bar , an arcade and banquet hall ! It used to be a great night out ! RIP !!!

This bowling alley was the host of the Ontario 5 Pin Bowling Championships every year, which was an amazing event! It's hard to see it again so devoid of laughter and joy.

In the Chicagoland area we have many huge bowling alleys. I love the Canada explores. So little vandalism. This bowling alley is a perfect example. Really cool!

Great video, pretty big place, it's a shame it shut down. I filmed an abandoned bowling alley here in Cambridge...but it was in a lot worse shape, and was supposed to be torn down in 2017 yet it's still standing

That is a Huge bowling ally, The disco balls are for Cosmic bowling for little kids to have birthday parties and just to bring your young kids to bowl, they turn the lights off and have black lights, strobe lights, and loud music, basically turning it into a nite club for them. A great video Dave!!!!

I spent many hours at Sherwood Bowling Alley between the snack bar for fries and cherry cokes, working a couple nights a week and every other weekend at the centre desk, bowling summer league where I met my husband and our girls bowled with the YBC there. Memories wow! You and Ridding Ryder are 2 for 2! His Chedoke Hospital video brought back memories of volunteering there and a week spent in that hospital when I fractured my back!

Wow, a blast from the past. I grew up right aroung the corner from here. I guess they got rid of the billiard room in the basement. I used to sneak down to watch my brother and his friends play pool. Never thought that place would get demolished. Did you notice if the rest of the plaza was closing up? Thanks for the walk down memory lane Dave!
@PamelaWarren563 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about the pool hall too. I don't think he came across it. It was a much smaller room than the banquet hall

I agree with others on here that is the largest bowling alley I have ever seen not even counting the extra areas. Yes, I kind of got seasick with the camera work a time or two. LOL. You are still one of my three favorite explorers and watch all your videos.
@kellysaunooke7403 жыл бұрын
In my city we had several bowling alleys and I bowled alot .None were as big as this one .They all closed down years ago but since they have opened new ones in different cities.Strange how people lose interest in something then it comes back around again.
@trevorman14063 жыл бұрын
It's actually not demolished. It's turned into some sort of India restaurant and the other half is a Indian grocery store. I live right up the road from here. Lol. I remember when this was open. Can't believe you explored this. That's awesome. Too bad you didn't see pool hall unless it was gone.

I wonder if you tripped a silent alarm, that’s why the phone was ringing and the fax was just a coincidence, the alarm company was trying to call and see if there was anybody in the building then the main alarm went off, all just speculation since the timeline seemed off in the video.

That's the CLEANEST abandoned bowling alley I've seen. Is this another casualty of COVID? I sure hope all the "good stuff" gets salvaged out of there first.
@vintagesupermarkets52102 жыл бұрын
Closed in 2018. The developers that bought the place have indicated they'll build a new bowling alley but 1/2 the lanes at 24 lanes taking up probably 1/3 the space of Sherwood.
