Hi I'm Cara, I'm a professional circus acrobat.
I always dreamt of having a beautiful home where I could practice my art and I found it at Everdeen house a historic 200 year old farmhouse in the center of France come join me as I renovate this gorgeous property, preparing it as a future Circus training venue and restoring its unique character.
My friends and family will join me along the way as I find new skills, uncover hidden treasures and make the Escape to Everdeen.

The most important thing is that your attic looks dry, and the floor is still in good condition. I think that the ceiling has to be finished by professionals. Important! I like your sense of humor.

Yes, although it is filled with spiders it is in very good condition and very dry something for which I am very grateful:-)

The original attic floors seem like the perfect floors for dancing. Those attic floors only need to be sanded down and stained and “voila”, they are ✅done.😊
@EscapetoEverdeen
@EscapetoEverdeen Жыл бұрын
The original floors are gorgeous, you're right, but for really professional dancing we are going to have to cover them with the Marley floor, it has a different texture than wood and ensures that the cracks and little uneven places won't be a problem for example with pointe shoes or barefeet or socks - it's the standard type of floor used for serious dance studios or ballet companies. However, the nice thing is that you don't have to glue it or attach it to the wood floor in any way so it's easy to roll up if in the future we want to show off the beautiful wood

That is the best attic I have ever seen!!! Usually in an old house such as that is usually too spooky to work with, but this one is amazing. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Gorgeous sofa.

Hi Liz! Thanks for watching :) The floor is beautiful, however, for a professional dance studio it has to be a Marley floor... the texture is very different than wood and it helps smooth out the little cracks between boards so they're not problematic for point shoes bare feet or socks

of course the attic was empty for a long time and a good vaccuuming will get rid of all the dead spiders, but consider some spiders as your helpers: they'll feast on a lot of insects you don't want to live there. and: lemon eucalyptus would be a good choice.

Why don’t you buy some foggers for bugs and set them off in the attic? That will rid you of all bugs, birds, mice, bats etc. After a few hours you can start investigating your attic without worrying. And FYI, your American viewers do not deal with meters. Try feet, yards etc.
@EscapetoEverdeen

But foggers mean releasing poisons into the atmosphere of the home. Bad for humans as well as creatures as well as the earth! I would not recommend this!

Your chair looks wonderful and that new couch is beautiful against the dark teal walls. Unfortunately, the spiders don’t stay on one floor. I get big large black ones on all four floors in my house and I kill everyone I see because they multiply. When you or your dad vacuum them up, either empty the vacuum bag outside or rubber band a plastic bag over the opening in the wand so they don’t climb back out. 😅 Lastly, if birds are getting in long enough to mess on the attic floor, you could also end up with other critters in your house. Plug every opening no matter how small. Twice I had squirrels move into the walls between my laundry room and a bathroom and it took a week for the exterminator to catch the live ones and he had to cut a big hole in the wall to pull out the nest and dead babies. 😔 🦝 Raccoons are another menace but maybe ask neighbors if they have had critters. One small ground squirrel tore up a lace curtain in one room, chewed a hole in the carpet trying to get out and pooped on every floor in my house until I was able to usher him outside again.
