We are Bennett Spring Campground, located across the road of the state park in between the 2 entrances. You can camp here without all the traffic and still enjoy the trout fishing 🎣.

This was an especially fun one for me. I practically grew up at Bennett. My dad loved trout fishing and taught us three kids. We always camped “on top of the hill.” That opening siren sure brought the memories flooding back. ❤️ My brother now lives not too far from there, in Lebanon, and goes there often to photograph the eagles.

The highlight of my childhood was going to Bennett Springs! At the time we only had "on top of the hill" camping. I remember one side was for the tents the other for the campers the RVs as they were in the early/mid 60s. I don't know what time the whistle goes off now, but Dad said back then it was 6:00. Lebanon would be a GREAT place to live. I am glad to see the store front looks the same, also. Ahhhh what sweet memories. I learned one of my GREATEST EVER Faith lessons holding on to my Daddy's hand at Bennett Springs...more on that on my own post.

The highlight of my childhood was going to Bennett Springs, MO. Last time I was there they had "Hillbilly Days". Do they still have those or something similar?? I learned one of my most important faith lessons at Bennett Springs. Daddy and I use to wade in the waters. (A side note: Daddy never used waders he claimed they could fill with water and one could drown). One time he was ready to go wading. He held out his hand for me. I told Daddy, "As long as you hold my hand, I'll go anywhere and do anything!" I had the faith of a child. I KNEW Daddy would keep me safe. I released my Father's hand long ago....He fishes now on heavenly fishing grounds. I do know my heavenly Father now holds my hand. Even when I get up to "neck high water" I need have no fear. My heavenly Father has a secure hold on my hand and will NEVER let me go!

Roaring River is awesome as well! We have not brought our RV there because we need to get 50 amp hook-up. However, we love to go hiking and to see the hatchery there.

50 amp is nice in the summer. We stay in Paradise Valley at the end of campground 1. It’s a private campground. You should check it out.

Just found your channel and have subscribed. We camp at Bennett Spring as much as we can I love to Flyfish for the trout. We have been camping there for the last 20 years. Great Video makes me want pack up and head to Bennett. We live in the Kansas City area.
