I grew up in Missouri and have many memories of my parents taking me there. My Boy Scout Troop used to float the Niangua River every Memorial Day. Bennett Springs is where I learned to fly fish as a 10 year old with my grandfather's old fly rod. Missouri is blessed with the beautiful outdoors of the Ozarks. I always tell people the Ozarks are one of the best kept secrets in the country. I left Missouri in the early 1980's when I joined the Marines and then my career bounced me all over the US. I live back east now, but I still enjoy going home to the Ozarks when I get a chance. Enjoy this time with your kids; they're only that age once and you don't get a do-over.

Hey Elliot. We heard about that incident. While it wasn’t us directly (We actually weren’t outside at that time.) It was someone from our group. Nothing wrong with lighter fluid as long as it’s being used responsibly.😉
