CimarronMusic Lives: No... The parents outting their daughter was the real misstep. What they did was called "Attenion Whoring." Back then there was No Internet and noone leaves a theatre wondering where the movie's director may have lived years before he made a movie. When they knew him he was an "aspiring writer." They did not own the name and only filed a suit to make a quick buck.
@wickedlateok16977 жыл бұрын
Dunkage yah the parents definitely fucked up with their lack of parenting, but I mean Shapiro still should've changed the names to avoid lawsuit. like, if I were bullied by two guys and I later made a film about two bullies with the exact same names, I'd expect one of them to watch it one day and the sue the shit out of me.

I'd have redone that movie where we don't see the heroine nor the villainess, only hear their married names. Then I'd have them living next door to each other several years later using their maiden names, build up the suspense as to who the bad guy is like the original Friday the 13th. I'd had Julianne Moore as the lead, kept Rebecca DeMornay in her role and gotten Joan Severance as the best friend.

Eduardo Rojo Because it's super easy to figure out the 14 year old Darian he once lived with was the inspiration for this 14 year old Darian. By using the real name of a private citizen you're blurring the lines of fiction and reality and basically defaming this girl's character with a permanent tramp stamp. Something as simple as calling her Adrian from the start could've prevented this.

Um..if the director named her like Daria or Danni (and sometimes if going by the Darien name via nickname rules,as noted in my above example here) and kept the story/movie exactly the same,then I'd guess that would work somehow though,honestly-so._

While your reviews are are always well researched and your passion always present, there are Two "Crush from hell" movies that you would probably find even more intense (and they Both star Clint Eastwood!) "Play Misty For Me" laid the groundwork for the entire genre and is an unrelenting spiral of tension. The mounting suspense is heightend as the story draws a parallel to a poem penned by Poe and pivoting it from eligaic romance to suffocating obsession. This was Eastwood's directorial debut and while Lyne's movie is better remembered, "Misty" is much more engrossing. The second must see is Don Siegel's "The Beguiled" where a wounded confederate soldier learns the danger of playing Elvis in a sequestered Virginian girl's school (with most of the girls trying to relieve themselves from their "Virgin"-ity!) Both of these films were released in 1971. Sadly, next week will see the release of Sofia Coppola's poorly received remake of this classic and I hope that if people only see this story once that they they choose a better execution over newer faces. As for your decision to relegate "The Crush" as your "Best Of," perhaps once you see these you will see fit to bring in the ADR to make room on the mantle (and you Know your viewers would only settle for the original cast.) BTW: If you want to reference Adrian Lyne, there's a good reason "Rob" requested you Explore "Jacob's Ladder" (on November 7th, 2014... at 1:20 a.m.) It truely absolved the director of his previous sins and established his Original surrealist (and horrifying) vison. You would have a field day in that experience. Trust "Rob" and you will will be richly rewarded.
