Awesome vid! I wish more YT'er followed your format for reviewing all-inclusive restaurants & resorts! We are trying to decide on our next resort and we both consider the food an important part. Also, I think we're neighbours as I live close to Barrie. I also do Algonquin every year but canoe camping and not car camping. I will post a comment on one of your other vids!

Just returned from Majestic Mirage Punta Cana. I would rate their restaurants lower than what you found at Excellence. We may try Excellence next year.

Thank you so much for posting! We are headed in a few days - we were told not to eat any fruits or vegetables due to the water they would be washed in - is that true? It looks like your group enjoyed everything! Did you have any issues? Did you brush your teeth with the tap water in the room or did you use bottled water? Would be very excited if we were given bad advice and we can eat everything!

Thank you so much your comment and watching our video. We never had any issues eating anything but we always take some precautions that make us comfortable. We rarely eat any fruit that must be washed, only fruit with skins or fruits that must be peeled. It’s our own personal preference to do this. We’ve never had an issue. Although I do know, Finest (family resort) and Excellence (adults only) are not the same resorts, they do have different restaurants and menu options. Thanks for the review. Very informative. My wife and I are considering Excellence for our upcoming anniversary. Would be our first all-inclusive. What is the etiquette like for ordering food? Are there limitations on how much a table can order? Separately, my wife is vegetarian. Did you find there to be a reasonable selection of veggie options?

As far as I know there’s no restrictions on ordering at any of the restaurants, you can order as much as you want. At some restaurants we couldn’t decided on some appetizers and usually ordered 2 or 3 each. I believe that would be the same for entries. We didn’t gravitate to the vegetarian options on the menus, but I do know that all restaurants offer a Whole Food Plant-Based menu. I would expect the vegetarian options are just as good as the meat-based items on the menus. We usually book a Club room because we like the private club beach and pools, plus we enjoy Magna restaurant and lounge. You’ll have a great time whether you book Club or not. Resort looks great. I know it is all inclusive but what is the tipping policy. I have many stays at Sandals resorts where tipping is not allowed.

I don’t think your experience will be any less if you don’t tip, but I would think any tipping would be appreciated. In our experience, we didn’t find our food not hot enough at many restaurants, but a couple. Specifically The Grill and once at Lobster House. Every other meal was good with food temperature. We are currently staying at excellence until Thursday. I can tell you that overall magna has lost place from where you rank it. Magna breakfast is awful. Service is awful. The grill has definitely stepped up since your video. Service is excellent and the ribeyes are wonderful. The kitchen table is subpar at best. The overall resort is a 2 out of 5. I would stay elsewhere.
