Well i never visited Myrtles Plantation house but i heard it is quite haunted. There was a slave girl Hung in a tree on the property and her name was Chloe but i really love historic places like this even though i never get a chance to visit them in person/

I have been there twice,the second time I met a ghost between the gift shop and the main house ! I had no idea she was a ghost untill a few years later ! She was a white woman with dark hair and fair skin.she wore a beautiful dress of the antebellum style, it was blue and white series and had tiny flowers.and blue ribbons in the sleeves!She was solid and as anyone .My freind called me to go on the tour,when I looked back she was gone and the tour guide said they had no one there that wore costumes for the tour ! This was almost 40 years ago .

Thank you for watching. It's an interesting place to visit from a historical perspective and seems to be a fairly active place for haunted things from my experience. I've been probably half a dozen times and on most of the trips we didn't experience anything paranormal but the times we did it was very eerie. I had always wanted to stay the night and try to capture something on video but my wife at the time wouldn't go but now that I'm single it may be time to do it!

That was an awesome video. I enjoyed your narration of this plantation. That was so funny when you said you hollered like a girl when you saw the spiders. I would enjoy seeing more video's in the future. I hate spiders as well. My husband always sprayed twice a year. He would spray the foundation and yard itself and then spray inside. I moved to Virginia eight years ago from California and couldn't believe how big the bugs and spiders were. I'm use to them now, we live on eight acres right in the middle of the woods. There's no actual documentation on any of previous owners ever had a slave named Chloe and there are detailed lists available. The story with Chloe is a story came up with in order to explain the supposed ghost of the lady seen by the children of previous owners..its been exaggerated over time and that one photo cemented it as fact but the story is inherently flawed and no document exists bearing that name or similar name ever associated with the property. Also, the story with 17th step thing, again is unprovable as no document exist that says he ever made it off the porch. Though he did die on the porch. 2 children also died of yellow fever within the home , though not poisoning by a slave girl. I'm still looking into the place but apparently public records are freely available in st francisville on the entire documented history of the property. Which is a bit different than urban legend told by staff would have one believe. Still, it makes for a good ghost story but this place doesn't need some mere perpetuated urban legends exaggerated over a hundred years as the facts themselves speak.Place is apparently haunted , by whom exactly is a question yet to be answered.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Like most people, I only know the history as told by them, but it does make for a good story. Did you see the other video on my channel with the photos we took there? It looks like a little girl holding a doll ot teddy bear. It was taken by my wifes friend on one of our trips there. Will be interesting , as you know it's hard as there are so many people. I'm going to focus on the room I'm staying in, on the second floor of the house. They say you can hear babies crying? I'll have digital recorders , full spectrum camera , laser grid , rem pod, mel meter and a k2 for emf. Speaking of emf , the house has a lot of emf , I think most of it is from old wiring etc. Many places it just stays on or around 20. Others its strangely sparatic, So not sure how effective emf is actually going to be. I have to say; I love the house and the property. The history , the architecture it's really something. I'd love to buy it if I ever won the lottery lol!

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the upstairs bedrooms in late December of 2011...she watched the "Ghost Hunters" TV shows...she was a believer.. I was not...everything went well until about 2am or so...she kept waking me up saying she heard furniture being moved...I think maybe one other couple was in one of the upstairs bedrooms...the next morning we were going to NOLA and Biloxi...while she got ready I snapped some pics with my iPhone...our room had a canopy bed...in the dark corner of the room by the bed I later noticed a blue glow in the photo...I didn't even notice it until we got back to Texas...a phone camera brings the light out in a pic...but in reality it was really dark in that corner...someone said to me it was a nightlite or my laptop on the floor...nope there was nothing there except dark...then a year later I watched a show about the Myrtles and they were talking about a bed that moves.. it was in the room right beside ours👻...I tried to post the pic here, but couldn't figure out how...

@@AllAmericanMack...there's an older video on KZbin from a guy that stayed in the room across upstairs from ours...he befriended a young couple that stayed in the same room as ours...there was a small antique dresser beside the bed with a white marble top on it...when the couple checked in they placed 3 pennies in a row on top of the dresser...then they went down and walked around the grounds...when they got back to there room...the pennies were in a triangular shape....that same couple got up about 4am, packed up and left...the guy who made the video said he thought he saw a dark shape move across his room in the night...

I stayed there years ago in the outside caretaker house. Nobody else was there the night we stayed. When we were hanging out by the patio with all that metal furniture- we heard the metal scraping on the concrete as if the outside furniture was moving. Every picture I took had green orbs. I visited another time but didn’t sleep there that time, just walked the property. There were lots of people there that night. All of their batteries kept dying in all of their recording devices.

I've taken the tour four times and for the last three times they said we can take photos in the house but cannot use the flash. It's been a while since I've been and don't remember if they said anything about taking video inside, but it's so dark you would probably need an ir light for all the areas except the main entrance.

I would definitely recommend going and taking the tour when you get a chance. We've been 6 or 7 times and still do the tour almost every time because each tour guide has a little different information. But to answer your question, a couple trips ago we caught what appears to be two different shadow figures and the ghost of one of the little girls. I didn't catch anything on video but my wife and a friend were taking photos caught the shadow figures and the girl. It's all good. I've been 6 or 7 times and I do get a "feel" there every time we go. Most of our trips didn't turn up anything except for one in particular that I'll link to in case you didn't see it. As a matter of fact, it's what really changed my belief in the paranormal. On one trip a few years ago we went and my sister in law was saying something was attaching to her. She screaming "get it off" over and over and said something was grabbing her by the ankles. We left immediately and stopped up the road at a store and she had scratches and what appeared to be a handprint on her ankle. What really sucked is I had been filming and getting nothing and had literally shut the camera off less than a minute prior. I really don't hear anything about violent entities there though but she absolutely refuses to go back.
