We just got back September 17. It was quiet and beautiful. Everyone is so lovely. We loved the beach and the way everyone drive’s golf carts around town. It’s an amazing vacation spot. There are not many rowdy bars, most are smaller sports pubs. Restaurants are amazing but watch the hours, 9 pm weekdays and 10 on weekends. They are nice but fairly casual, you must wear a shirt and shoes to eat inside the beach front ones but they have patios for walk up from the beach. I’ve never had better seafood. We stayed at Bali Hai which is an older property, two levels, looks as if it was built in the 1950s-60s. They were remodeling the hotel and I’m sure after Helene, it will have to be gutted. We had a lovely time there and it hurts to see the damage done to places we visited. We are still planning a return trip in the future as it is a magical place.

Thanks for posting, very well done. I've noticed some of the stale properties have had significant drops in the past couple of years, especially those that are unoccupied or were over priced for the fools market coming out of the pandemic insanity.

I grew up in Palmetto and Bradenton and have spent a lot of time on Anna Maria Island. I have been through many hurricanes in Florida I think you should tell your viewers about them.

we like this place but for an investment the numbers dont worK....any talk about taxes going down at all,,??

I have a question? why did taxes go up 30 % in the last couple years??? if your buying a condo for 600 K your taxes will be about 7K and then on top of it Hoa of about 1,200....but mostly Taxes on a house,,how do they figure them,Price?? size??

The millage rate and the assessed value ultimately determine the taxes. Since most people aren't homesteading their properties on the island due to them being second homes or investment homes and since there is a decent amount of turnover, the assessed value of property on the island is increasing alongside the market value of homes on Anna Maria. This island has gotten much more valuable recently due to general inflation and also the increase in popularity for vacationers here.

Due to the amount of hurricane activity in recent years, Homeowners insurance has also skyrocketed.
