Hi sanil, I have a question. Is it possible that these substances, specifically psilocybin can actually exacerbate and or trigger psychiatric illness? Would something like psilocybin be contraindicated in patients with schizophrenia/ bipolar?

No it cannot Microdosing capsules really helped with my anxiety, depression, OCD intrusive thoughts and PPA/PPD a lot. I have been coping well since I started micro-dosing psychedelics I usually get the capsules from Trippy_psych he's a mycologist he guided me through the journey of getting better I think you should try it would be worth your time

As someone who had PTSD, serious panic attacks, serious suicidal ideation, and then micro dosed on psilocybin, which I only did 5 times total, I can say that psychedelics do not worsen ones mental stability; and, actually, they dramatically improve ones mental state. The research from John Hopkins and other places, with enough peer reviewed papers to prove this stuff is safe, means that there is nothing to worry about when it comes to psychedelics. Of course, do your own research. Be careful though, because for a long time psychiatry has advised people against taking psychedelics due to War on Drugs bias and hysterical stories based on bad information. People have been taking psychedelics for much longer than civilization has been around. And this stuff has been used by various cultures from Ancient Greece to those living in South America. It is still used in Native American cultural traditions. They don't have a problem with psychedelics, because it is cultural for them. But, for decades in the west, various governments went to war on psychedelics to try and control thought. This is not some wacky left wing or right wing conspiracy theory. It is a well documented, and accepted, fact of western history by modern day academia. I should emphasize that it is very important to be in the right mind set and in the right setting. And I will say that psychedelics is not for everyone. I did my research. Had I not done psychedelics I would not be alive to write this. There are millions of people with my story. This stuff should be legal.

Does clozapine cause dementia can i cross taper to aripiprazole ,currently 125md Clozaril,pls suggest dose to cross taper tks.
@PsychiatrySimplified Жыл бұрын
There is no known causal relationship between clozapine and dementia. Clozapine is prescribed for treatment resistant schizophrenia. Changing or ceasing this medication should not be done without advice - this can lead to a serious relapse. Pls see your doctor.

Interesting news summary, thanks. (Only one point of critique: The jingle at the beginning is a tad loud 😁)
