We liked the Basque restaurant in the center of town, but the rest of the time the food was touristy since we were by the beach. Barcelona has better restaurants.

Car insurance: They probably put the scratches on themselves to scare people to get insurance: they always show how expensive it is to pay for a scratch.

It wasn’t just scratches, parts were hanging off already. I think it’s because there’s only street parking most of the time so it gets dinged up.

How are Asians treated in Spain where you stay and visited?

Aside from someone saying “xie xie” (in Granada) and “arigato” (in a small German town) to us - which we don’t take offense because they were saying thanks and trying to be friendly - I would say neutral. The Spaniards we have met along the way are kind, friendly, and inviting, but I don’t think our race had an effect on any of that. Two different times people have asked if we’re Canadian, so I think it’s more how we act and dress rather than our skin tone.

The hardly any bathrooms on these beaches is terrible. But what's even more terrible are the many ppl that use the sea/beaches as their personal toilet 🤢🤮 . This one KZbinr, a woman openly advertising how she "will have to go swimming, because it's time to go to the bathroom" I was shocked and absolutely disgusted! The last thing I want is swim in contaminated waters with urine and feces! First option, to find a bathroom, if not, would've been her going far away behind some of the rocks.

Yep, our time at the beach is limited only to a few hours because of the bathroom situation. And we try not to drink too much while there so we don’t need to pee right away.

Palma beach is a bit of a shithole, it is the Soith of the island, Palma is worth visiting but don't drive there as parking is a nightmare. Defo rent a car, to the East you will find the nicest white sandy beaches, to the Nirth West the Tramuntana mountain range with spectacular landscapes and rocky coves. In the Noeth you have bay of Alcudia with stunning beaches although it can be quite windy/wavy. It is all packed in July and August, better go end of June/early September, less people, less mosquitos and not so suffocatingly hot

Yeah the beach in Palma wasn’t the prettiest, I don’t think the locals will frequent that area. Thanks for your recommendations, I think Mallorca is a place we’ll want to go back to.

It’s street parking, best to ask your hotel where to park. We rented from Dollar. Enjoy!
