One of the things we love to do is to find historic gems within an easy drive of home. The Nathan Boone homestead absolutely checks that box! You can tour the nearly two hundred-year-old house, pay respects at the cemetery, and walk the beautiful property. The site is just outside Ash Grove in Southwest Missouri. Nathan was the youngest son of Daniel Boone. Nathan and Olive worked this enormous 400-acre property later in their life when Nathan was in his fifties. Nathan and Olive had fourteen children and several of them also lived at the homestead in the 1830s. Step back in time as we walk amongst some of the legends in Missouri frontier history.
