I grew up in southern Maine in the sixties and seventies so I recognize a lot of the names you mention as well as the architecture of the homes and churches that the hard working people of Quebec brought with them when they moved to the area. It's important to remember where you came from so thanks very much for sharing.

Thank you for the video. I grew up in rock island and went to sunny side high school. I left Stanstead in 1975 and now I live in Atlanta Georgia. What a nice memory you have provided. Awesome thank you!

Our Membre de L'assemble National is Finance Minister and an ex Atlanta funny money businessman . I suspect he is a Fascist or maybe even a Nazi but c'est Q!uebefc et Canada bad et etats unis tres bon. I love Canada and America and you don't know how poorly we see America at least those of us who love America. My Father in Law loved America and his reward was a broken heart. He loved the Navy. He was a brilliant scientist but he loved freedom and democracy and you gave him Ronald Snake Oil Reagan. My wife refuses to give up her American citizenship because your country needs to heal not pit brother against brother. and now Mr Trump a victim of fetal alcohol and too much money.

Yes Eric have I got a tale to tell. Have you ever been to Fort Vermilion aLberta and the National Parlk or Bechokhon (Fort Rae NWT or Woodlawn Chicago where the Elvis Video in the Ghetto was recorded or the Buchanan Log House in Nashville?

@@EricTaillage Yes I would like you to stop at David Dubois' he doesn't seem to know who you are. Neither does Tammy Bishop or Mary O'Donell. We have probably the worst Tim Horton's between Victoria BC and St John's NEwfoundland the staff is great the ownership belongs in Jail. The Pat Burns Arena is part of being HOCKEYTOWN Canada in a national contest and David Dubois is Mr Hockey having coached the Bishop's Gaiters.. I can ask Philip Doutil he was mayor or Norman Yates who ordered us to move to Stanstead or Sylvain Roy who is the Maitre' D at ripple cove or Mary O'Donell who has lived here forever. Mary Douhy is our next door neighbour she is almost a centenarian and Dawn her Daughter is now retired. The Chamberlains are a major component of little Tokyo and the Dubois and Chamberlains and Woods are everywhere. Mary Douhy married a Chamberlain.Many of the people you mentioned are still here but Barbara Heath of the Colby Curtis is not. My wife is a Doctor of Philosophy from Chicago but I am just a plain old idiot. Where do you live. I am sure the CLSC can tell you who is still with us. Anyone in Particular but Mary Donnell knows just about everybody from here to Georgeville and the beach in Stanstead. Do you John Woods? I think his father ran Rock Island. I know Dora and Earl Wood but and they are close but they don't know I am who I am I can tell you about Tilton and Holland and Spensers is busier than ever and Jomac is huge in Philadelphia, MISSISSIPPI. I love Stanstead, I will die here. I love Stanstead but the FRANCHISEE of Tim Horton's is one sick puppy. Why did you leave Hockeytown Canada?

I am about to ask Dawn Chamberlain about the arena I understand Mary Douhy Chamberlain ran the canteen and of course ask are you familiar with Penny or Peggy. What about Sylvain Roy ? He is always too busy to visit but would you like to speak to him? If you really want some fun say your visiting moe and claire when you get to customs and immigration.Do you know a Terry who worked at Butterfield's? I cannot forgive you (as in Yankees) bastards for closing that beautiful mill. Of course I loved our ghetto in Chicago and our homes in the Northwest Territories and on the Peace river in Fort Vermilion Alberta.

@@EricTaillage Thank you Eric. The Stone circle represents everything I dreamed about when I was born in Montreal in 1948. The Stanstead College and Gilles Belanger our member for Orford represents everything I detest in this world. HE is an ATLANTA business man preying upon the weak and vulnerable. Wesleyan is the University my grandson attended and is neither "Christian" nor liberal. I don't know if you ever watched The Devil and Daniel Webster 1940. It was a great movie about Stanstead and vicinity in 1840, it is about privilege not democracy.

My dad (Jean-Louis Larocque) built the big house on Hacket street where I lived when I was born in 1982. I think he sold it to a Dutil.. Not sure. Thanks for the video lots of memories growing up in the 3 villages.

I can remember delivering the newspaper around 1983-84 to a Johnny Larocque that live there.
