There is lot more to Goa than what you have been subjected to. Attend the exposition of the 450 years old of the patron saint of Goa, Saint Francis Xavier next year 2024. Go and enjoy authentic Goan dishes at Souza Lobo in Calangute, O coquiero in Porvorim and many other decent venues instead mud baths which we had left for our pigs. We even have a saying in the local Konkani, " Dukor to dukor, kednam kon soddit". You will have to get the translation from the true son of the soil who may be hard to find these days. Anyway it is good to know that you enjoyed your holiday in Goa, the Rome of the East.

The best thing about you is that you enjoy everything, you mold yourself according to the time, you get happiness even from the smallest or minor things....In our childhood, we used to bring slurry from the village pond, our grandmother used to make a stove out of it and we used to make small mud houses and toys. It’s called Idli! It’s a south Indian dish! Idli, the yellow thing is yellow lentils called sambhar and the white one is coconut chutney 🩵

The world's biggest mangrove forest is in my state of West Bengal, which is also the abode of the famous Royal Bengal tigers, the gangetic dolphins (river dolphin) and many other wildlife. It is on the Southern side of the state. West Bengal is on the Eastern India and capital is Kolkata (erstwhile Calcutta). On Northern side of the state is Darjeeling, a hill station and produces the most flavourful and costliest black tea in the world. Also you get gorgeous view of the majestic Himalayas. Also it is gateway to Sikkim, a gorgeous state in natural beauty. I suggest from Goa, visit Mumbai and then take a direct flight or direct train to Kolkata. Also Kolkata is a foodie paradise, some of the best food in India. 😊 Do a different path than most foreigners do. Cheers!!! 🙏🇮🇳

Idli is a very healthy breakfast. Rice + Lentils + flat rice ground into a batter and left overnight to ferment. It's steamed and served with Sambhar (a lentil soup with veggies) and you could have various chutneys. The one you had is a coconut one, you can also make it with coriander (cilantro) , tomato , Onions, Peanuts. The peanut one tastes a little like Satay sauce that you get in Indo.

Instead of beaches, glad for a change you Guys visited Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and Chorão Island Mangrove Forest. Wonderful Drone Shot but just one correction is required that Goa State is not located in South of India, it is located in West of India. Often many people confused Goa as Southern Indian State but actually it lies in Western part of India. There are 5 States/Provinces in Southern part of India-Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and 3 Union Territories-Puducherry, Lakshadweep Islands and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. If you're in Goa right now then I suggest you to must visit the Arambol beach. Spend some days there and experience the night life there. The Dog temple, the sweet water lake near the Kalacha beach & there is a famous banyan tree & a baba in the adventurous jungle valley of Arambol and there is a mud bath too on the way to banyan tree. The butterfly beach of goa is also hidden but must visit adventurous place in Goa.

Hi. You were eating IDLY which is ground rice and dhal or lentil which is fermented overnight and cooked over steam. Yellow thing is Lentil curry with turmeric gives you yellow color. White chutney was coconut! South Indian food!!! in Goa! Like the tour. Thanks 🙏👏👏👏👍

It is not bread. It's known as Idli, made of rice dough. And that white chutney is coconut chutney made of coconut, added spices, bitten leaves, mustard seeds, ginger, and sometimes cilantro also goes into it and other things too. Yellow curry is known as sambhar which is made up of cereals and some green veggies like pumpkin etc.

Idli, coconut chutney and sambar both really easy to make and both delicious.. Idlis are steamed fermented cakes and so delicious..However you're in Goa you need Vindaloo and sannas..Pork vindaloo is awesome 🙂

Oct - March is the best season to travel Goa. It's summer now. Temperature will be around 35-40℃ in Goa. Rainy season (Monsoon) will be between June-Sept. Goa is one of the rainiest places in India. So you should avoid these months. If you are asking about the weather in India, it depends on place to place as it's too diverse. Roughly this season is good for visiting snowy Himalayan states like Kashmir, Himchal, Uttrakhand and some north east states. But otherwise Oct-Mar is best season.
