Exploring The Sand Dunes With Wanderlost!

Our first time ever playing in sand dunes! We attended the 2023 Silver Lake Sand Dunes Toyota Takeover in Michigan. We came back with these shots and pics, and shoes full of sand.

Silver Lake Dunes are located on the Lake Michigan side of Michigan halfway between Muskegon to the south and Ludington to the north on M-31,this is an incredible popular place to go throughout the spring summer and fall,for just this reason, dunes, dunes,and dunes. For those that don't know why the flags are required on the dunes,is so people are not killed jumping the sand on one side and landing on someone on the other side. You see the flag first. Also if you are more inclined to walk the dunes go about a hundred miles north of Silver Lake and you will find Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and no cars are allowed on the dunes only thousands and thousands of people climbing the near vertical dunes for miles and miles in just breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the incredible Sunsets. The Michigan DNR has also just last week ok'd the riding of horses on the dunes and on the special trails around the dunes, people can bring there own horses or there are several local businesses that run tours available to the public for a fee, where you can ride their horses with a guide.
