So... -The foundation didn't act like idiots -They didn't mishandle the anomaly in anyway -They didn't throw away lives unnecessarily -They didn't do something unnecessarily unethical -They made friends with another anomalous race This was fantastic and we need more stories like this

I feel like most of what the foundation does must be pretty mundane and we just hear the ones where they screw up because they’re the most interesting. Author here! A small but very important clarification in regards to 3703: 3703 is not a containment unit for anomalous entities itself. It is, instead, a source of power. Teran is not contained within 4700, rather the large diamond structure at the center of the innermost cylinder is the source of power for the entire vehicle and the civilization it contains within. 3703 works by drawing power directly from the astral plane (I.E. cold plasma). Teran is contained within the Astral plane and in the material plane at the same time. The specific 3703 instance that's shown in 3703's article just so happens to connect to the where Teran is contained. Different instances of 3703 are used to power many of the Finnfolk's technologies, ranging from their vehicles, to the massive ancient containment complexes after each sealing war (a topic that will eventually be covered my 001 proposal). Other than that, great rendition of the article (and a very unexpected one, since 4700 is the longest thing I've written for the site).

It's nice to see a story of the Foundation finding a very advanced anomalous civilization it actually ends up with them being amicable and ending on a good note for once. Hopefully things stay good between them and we see more of these guys in the future. Goes to show even during back then anomalous organizations sometimes had common goals.

The thing is, this is also likely the most "in-character" approach to the situation for the Foundation. They aren't there to destroy and rmeove everything abnormal, they are there to contain the normalcy of the world. It just so happens that in this case helping a non-human civilization who has 0% interest in exposing themselves to humanity is a perfect fit for that objective. Similarly, the fact that Fae beings might escape 4000 doesn't turn the Foundation of that article into a war-machine. Sure, the Fae were still massacred in a way or another in the past, but it was a war of some kind, depending on which version of the Fae ones prefer this doesn't change. Let alone the fact that killing supernatural stuff doesn't mean it is "contained". Check, the good ol' chair.

I always get confused why authors of SCP articles overblow the dimensions of things. In 3700, the section of ocean is only 5km deep, yet a vehicle within it has doorways with diameters of 60 km?? And the 2nd entity in 3700 is 30km long and can somehow lower it's tail into the 5km deep ocean to create a whirlpool? I get that you want to make things beyond human comprehension, but this stuff always breaks me out of the immersion in the narrative. Breaking physics has its place in certain SCPs, but grounding stories in reality can enhance the narrative.

I’d love to see a K-Class scenario in which the Finfolk, Foundation, Mekkanites, Sarkites, Daeva, etc all come to form one more Last Alliance against whatever world-ending deity is threatening them this time. “An Alliance once existed between Man, Metal, Flesh, Fin, and Plant. Long ago we fought and died together. We come to honor that allegiance.”

@@johnfrancis3203 I have had those too but never while in LD-protocol. All it is is a chemical in your brain that stops your body from acting out physically what you do in your dreams. Thats why when your trying to fight in your dreams it feels like your punching under water. It's a good thing. I wish I knew more science-y terms but I'm no scientist. Once you wake up consciously, it takes about a min or 2 for your body to follow. I freaked out the first couple times it happened.

Makes for some good stories. I hope in 500+ years that this stuff is unearthed, if at all possible, and looked at as if it were our religious mythologies.
