I think a cool addition to this cannon could be if a “tribe” of goc members survived. They would go around killing SCPs like witchers would. Since most of the SCP foundation didn’t like them, it carried on to these people and they were looked at negatively but people would still hire them to kill things if they were becoming a problem.

I always thought that SCPs would make great artifacts in a fantasy setting. The Bellerverse tells me someone else had the same idea. It is like imagining LoTR, but the One Ring is an SCP, and the whole quest is an attempt to contain a Keter-level cognitohazard. And in the end, if I were stuck living in this world, SCP 1230 is the SCP I'd want to have. There might be others more useful, but not many are as educational and able to keep one's morale so high.

The bookkeeper could be extremely useful and powerful in this world. He could teach people an entire old world level education in a single night. People read one line, go to bed, and wake up the next morning suddenly more aware of the true state of their world. I could see it evolving to become known as the book of knowledge, and resulting in its own kind of new existential horror as people realize their true lot in life with the state of the world now compared to what it was.

I like the remainder of the SCP organization became a tribe, yet still devoted to their goal. They don't know what these things are, they don't know why the containment works, but they know it needs to be done and they know they need to do it right, hence the "you always start with how to stop them" part. It's interesting that their core ideology stays the same, even though the less important bits shift and change
