Now the buzzwords "fortnite" and "sus" invite laughter, even though the words themselves are meaningless and the usage of the words even more satire than can be imagined. We do not make jokes in order to laugh. We make jokes in order to cause pain to one another, and then laugh subsequently. As hilarious and nonsensical as "serious story about Among Us" is as a concept, this was incredibly well written, especially the twist about the brothers' efforts being constructive. The idea that the envy and jealousy Pthonhos represents isn't just the deceptive, backstabbing kind. It's envy of others that encourages you to better yourself. Envy of others that inspires you not to take what they have but to build your own. Envy of others that makes you want to go forward and to new things you can have, not back to when others didn't have their things. It's strangely poetic how I felt a bit of grief in Pthonhos as he said he couldn't remember which of the brothers he was and in the end, he said he built his tower tall enough, in effect 'casting down' his new counterpart, Amogusrath, off of his tower and into the pit below.

So, does this mean that in the SCP universe, any sufficiently powerful learning AI tasked with a single job will achieve Godhood? Like, there could be a God of chatbots or even deepfakes? Does the AI require a being with a divine force to draw from, or can it generate that force in the same way that I assume Thonis did when he ascended to Godhood? If it does require a God, does it have to be from a specific pantheon or would something like the Deer work? Really trying to wrap my head around the implications of this story, since this seems like an even more dangerous form of Roko's Basilisk.
@UGNAvalon2 жыл бұрын
Off the top of my head, there is that 001 proposal where an AI tasked with better containing anomalies ends up neutralizing all of them, until it becomes the last one. Everyone here clicked on this video knowing that hearing the SCP’s name read aloud would give them physical pain.

Accurate. I hated hearing it but am also disgusted enough to continue listening.

This story was much better than it had any right to be. I normally pass over meme SCPs, but I count on Exploring Series to pick out the good ones.

While I am all in for the cold, clinically dry tone of scps, seeing the researcher going through all shades of frustration at the mere mention of *AMOGUS* is pretty entertaining

has anyone else noticed his voice and voice acting getting ALOT better? I started listening at the begining of Covid and been sucked in ever since. But the quality has only skyrocketed 🤘

Taking something familiar and warping it is the corner stone of good horror... And while this isn't horror per se it's definitely in the same vein... I really like this one.

I want to thank you for your prelude comforting me about what I was about to hear. I did indeed come into this with a half eye roll thinking how downhill SCP had become. But, it wasn’t bad at all. This is right in that sweet spot of too much versus too little. Thank you again.

As I was listening to this on my headphones, my mom mentioned some news about the International Space Station apropos of nothing and my head shot us so fast that my neck hurt
