Every time I hear the phrase "among us" I sit up straight and place my face in my hands. It hurts how my friend group's humor has devolved into an unrecognizable layered irony. Now the buzzwords "fortnite" and "sus" invite laughter, even though the words themselves are meaningless and the usage of the words even more satire than can be imagined. We do not make jokes in order to laugh. We make jokes in order to cause pain to one another, and then laugh subsequently. The color red, the shape of an oval, and countless other miniscule components of my broken pattern recognition are now permanently marred. If there is a God, they surely aren't watching.

It's rules, function, gameplay, everthing. From every kinds of player to the tiniest of data it has, it consumed it. All of it and by doing so it embodies it, no it became it. As hilarious and nonsensical as "serious story about Among Us" is as a concept, this was incredibly well written, especially the twist about the brothers' efforts being constructive. The idea that the envy and jealousy Pthonhos represents isn't just the deceptive, backstabbing kind. It's envy of others that encourages you to better yourself. Envy of others that inspires you not to take what they have but to build your own. Envy of others that makes you want to go forward and to new things you can have, not back to when others didn't have their things. It's strangely poetic how I felt a bit of grief in Pthonhos as he said he couldn't remember which of the brothers he was and in the end, he said he built his tower tall enough, in effect 'casting down' his new counterpart, Amogusrath, off of his tower and into the pit below.

The reason why scp is such a cornerstone of online culture is because of its existence as an ongoing community. Anyone decrying this kind of article is more in the business of kneecapping the art than anything else. “Purity” is impossible in a community like this and it’s a weird thought regardless. “Purity” for what? 0:21 this I will defend SCP has grown to the point where there are nearly 7000 entries and hundreds of continuities canons organizations etc a breeding ground for freelance storytelling rather then the strict rules and ideas that the ones like 173 or 682 are so author preferences are going to be using the blank check they have with articles to craft those narratives hell this has been since the beginning with scps like 610 who owe their iconic statuses to the narratives around them Plus we still do get original Scps like 5175 an ornate knife with the soul of a Japanese samurai bound to it and a host wielder that traps the souls of its victims within it its just you have to seek them out

thats the beautry of scp. it has SCP's/tales of almost every genre. some content even blurs the line between tale and a simple SCP file.
@enthiegavoir5955
@enthiegavoir5955 2 жыл бұрын
@@sylviamontaez3889 I'd argue the blurring is a problem because there's a reason the tales tab exists, to prevent the whole "the foundation found a very detailed journal that explains all the characters associated with the scp, what exactly the anomaly does, and is written like a melodrama" as opposed to the old style of framing a story like how 610 they're supposed to be transcripts of exploration logs. The tales are good I just wish they were put in the right category.

So, does this mean that in the SCP universe, any sufficiently powerful learning AI tasked with a single job will achieve Godhood? Like, there could be a God of chatbots or even deepfakes? Does the AI require a being with a divine force to draw from, or can it generate that force in the same way that I assume Thonis did when he ascended to Godhood? If it does require a God, does it have to be from a specific pantheon or would something like the Deer work? Really trying to wrap my head around the implications of this story, since this seems like an even more dangerous form of Roko's Basilisk.
@UGNAvalon
@UGNAvalon 2 жыл бұрын
Off the top of my head, there is that 001 proposal where an AI tasked with better containing anomalies ends up neutralizing all of them, until it becomes the last one. I think it was titled “A Good Boy”, and had numerous mentions of “ethical felines” or something. Also, not SCP, but there is that sci-fi short story about an AI that spends eternity trying to solve entropy, and when it finally does, says the words “Let There Be Light”.

The writing and sheer absurdity of the premise is easy enough to make this a great SCP. I remember seeing this one and its precursor on the list, and reading the name, then going "This is either exactly what I think it is, or something incredible". Turns out I was wrong!

I just think your analyses are amazing in each video, and that is what sets you apart from other SCP creators. You are the only one I watch because you tend to give a synopsis without sounding bored/boring and you help the listener understand what you're saying in a clean and concise way. Keep it up!
