The sarkic school of acting has good bones but they rely on improve & audience participation to flesh out the performances. Now the mekhanites are built to act on a script. Not everyones wired that way. The dancings a bit mechanical. Now I'm craving a crossover scp, not unlike "4485-such black light" that had the "broken church" and "are we cool yet?".

I LOVE ALLAGADIAN SCPs! I remember seeing 701 back in the pre-wiki days, as a post on /x/, and its always been my favorite. I kinda lost interest in scp for a few years after the wiki first became a thing, and one day around when exploring series started covering SCPs I had a dream about the hanged king. I watched a friend of mine rehearsing the hanged king's tragedy with a theatre group in this dream. It made me realize I had forgotten about the hanged king and SCP in general, and I started reading more about it again because of this random dream out of the blue. I read the king in yellow, I read the other SCPs tagged as allagada, and was shocked to see things that resembled this odd dream I'd had apropos of nothing. I don't think any other SCP, no matter how well written or how original an idea, can ever approach this level getting under my skin so to speak. It was truly bizarre to me at the time, and even looking back at it, I see why people I tell about this think I am spinning them a yarn or working on a creepy pasta or arg or something. I will NEVER forget the hanged king and I love to see new tales and SCPs about it, or about allagada itself.

I really dig this one, cuz it harkens back to the dramas about kings and nobles obsessing over producing an heir. It kinda feels like the Hanged King pulling a Henry VIII, except as an immortal being, he doesn’t need an heir, so it’s likely he’s doing this because he’s insane, he just enjoys doing it, or simply because finding an heir is a thing a monarch must do. And now any random bystander can feel the Hanged King’s wrath for his own fault.

If the Hanged King is the ruler of forgotten things, I wonder what exactly the Ambassador of Alagadda originaly was? Or the various lords of Alagadda? Feels like they'd be forgotten gods of a sort to me with how madly powerful they are. Also, does that mean forgotten things tend to just end up in Alagadda? Much of human history is forgotten, for example. It thus would fall under the rule of the Hanged King. Feels like there is a lot of stories that could play around with these notions to come, as that is quite the domain to hold for an entity.

I'd say the body horror part of it is the Ambassador of Alagadda. Murderous and manipulative is Hanged King, Body horror is Ambassador/Patchwork King. Just my interpretation...
