I actually hate that saying, what goes around comes around because it's only ever applied towards other people that are doing bad things or ourselves when we're doing something good. But if you take the idea to its logical conclusion, when someone suffers a terrible fate like domestic violence or r*pe, this idea would have us blame the victim is it's just something bad they did coming back around. The much scarier ideas that good things happen to good people but also bad things happen to good people, it's all kind of random, and you can go ahead and do all the good you want but it won't necessarily come back to you. Personally I don't do good things cuz I think it's going to come back to me, I do them because humans are more likely to do good things when they see other humans doing good things, it's like a meme that I'm helping to propagate

Agreed. The more recent SCP entries have very much blended themselves with tales, which is a pretty big departure from the older SCPs. That's not to say that it's bad, though. While I do miss the more old style of "Thing that does a thing" SCP and having the horror (or otherwise) peak through the gaps in the official and dry writing, having a story in every article is still cool. The world of SCP is entirely controlled by the will of the fanbase and its writers. This is really just how something so spontaneous and decentralized like the wiki likely tends to occur.

25:02 oh yeah, good idea not telling them about scp:1000 Imagine how pissed they’d be, knowing we let in complete aliens before our cousins lol

What a surprisingly wholesome story. I’d love to Lear more about this point in time of this SCP universe. Especially about the Venusians. We can also be thankful that Russia doesn’t use demons in its Dead Hand launch system.

I was just reading through the archives & have come across a few numbers that I can only describe as "place holders". For example, SCP 7014 is simply a D&D player attributing good/bad luck & random fortunate/unfortunate coincidental outcomes purely on the dice having a will of their own. That is an official SCP.

Obviously, just like the narration, I’m referring to how hopeless the start is compared to how hopeful the ending is.

I like to think one of the factors in the O5s being accepting of the mass rescue mission is because they see the similarities between both worlds and decided to not leave a containment fellow hanging

I love love love the idea that in this Canon there are (were?) 3 different sapient species in our solar system, 4 with these guys. I love space. I love the idea of sapient alien friends

The fact that some scp members are more than willing to go above and beyond to save life, even team up with the Chaos Insurgency is nice to see. I guess not all of them are evil fucks.
