Exploring the Split Rock Pullout in Wyoming!

Hey guys!
Almost all of my wife's family live in Washington state, and we live in Arkansas. We make the drive to the PNW every couple of years, and we always go through Casper to see my sister-in-law. We usually try to swing by the Split Rock pullout to stretch our legs for a bit. It's a wonderful area to let the kids (and dad) play for a couple of hours in a natural setting and escape being in the car.

Nice place. Windy. Check out Martin's Cove nearby. Lotsa history there about the LDS members making the trek to their promised land, Utah.

I've driven by there on 220 a few times, actually. I have never pulled in to see it though. The rock formations looked really neat from that highway.

That was super cool. Next time you pass that way if its in the summer take an extra day and go to Kemmerer , you would love the fish fossils up there , Im going back in a few months when they open back up ...... well may wait a week or two last year they had snow up there in May LOL

I'm hoping to go through Wyoming again this early summer! If I ws by myself, I would go to Kemmerer in a heart beat, but I'll have my wife and kids with me (who won't want to go). I'll be driving though...so technically they're all along for the ride and I can go where I want?? 🤣
