Exploring the Susquehanna River at Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve

Exploring the Susquehanna River near Shenks Ferry Pennsylvania. We approached Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve from the river looking for tributary creeks to explore. On this trip, we find the area known as Grubb Hollow. It is located in Lancaster County along the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania.

There's a few more neat culvert tunnels in that immediate area and some of them are way more interesting than that one.. There's a bunch twisted steel in that area as well that is the remains of a train crash that happened in 1981.. I live a mile from the boat ramp and boat there myself great area

My brother an I have done a number of them. When I was watching the video I noticed we didn't even discuss going in. It was just assumed we would need to check it out.

@@JoeHainey pure adventure at heart I guess.....was there a bridge on top? Or is it just a drainage tunnel or something? The bricks looked as if it was constructed with care. I am just learning about the river from KZbin, sucks about the pollution. I need to come check it out myself

@@drej1015 Yes, the bridges are for the railroad. There are a lot of them of varying sizes.
