@@TVRExploring Every time I watch your videos. I say to myself, "OH I'd take that rock, and that one ,and that one, the nice sparkly one is mine". LOL But I know you really really don't want to be grabbing at stuff especially above you. I would have to keep my hands in my pockets. Stay safe out there. I really enjoy watching the videos.

Presumably anywhere you have high moisture levels and lots of mineralisation you have oxidisation which makes for bad air... The colouration in this mine is incredible, so much to see ..... and hanging out to see the next upload

Just 14 miles from my girlfriend's house, below ground tombstone is much more interesting than above ground. To bad there is little left of the mills over by the San Pedro river, lots of little old mines in the area, thank you for showing us the underground

I would really appreciate it if you could try to get some close up shots when you see the copper mineralization. As a mineral specimen collector it is the ultimate tease when you show enough to see that there may be crystalline form but not close enough to tell for sure. Outstanding specimens of azurite crystals, for example, can bring many thousands of dollars. This mine reminded me of a superb aurichalcite specimen I had that was covered with very fuzzy ultra-fragile crystals that was destroyed back in the 80s. Probably would have been worth thousands today if I could have preserved it. Anyways you should be aware that the specimen market has potential to bring mines like this back to life. The sparkly specimen near the hand rolled might have been a valuable piece of chrysicolla/ gem silica, prized by metaphysical affectionados. I respect your preservation ethic, while still can’t help but thinking of collecting specimens.

Nice to see Tombstone again. That looks like such a cool set of mines to explore down there. I see you have who looks like "Exploring Abandoned Mines & Unusual Places" with you. As many videos as I've seen and heard him in I've never seen his face. Privacy is most certainly respected but I am nonetheless curious. Thanks for sharing Justin. Peace be with you and your family this Easter weekend.

Great video. I loved the colors in certain areas. Judging by the color, that's probably copper. Do you ever run across Turquoise in those old mines, Justin? It surely looks like some turquoise in the host rock in places, especially at 12:03 or so.
@TVRExploring
@TVRExploring Жыл бұрын
Yes, the blues are indeed copper. We have seen turquoise before, but it is just a light grayish/blue. Nothing that great... The miners would have grabbed anything that looked really good. So, we just see the crumbs of turquoise.

I thpught you had to turn the air monitors on outside so the calibrate at a normal level wouldnt turning tjem on in a poor environment cause them to incorrectly calibrate? I have the yellow one that doesnt turm off and doesnt tell you the actual levels.
@TVRExploring
@TVRExploring Жыл бұрын
Yes, the yellow meters need to be calibrated near the portal of the mine. The higher end meters don't need to be calibrated as often, but they're much more complicated to calibrate.
