Each crumbling house has a story behind it that will never be told

I drove through the town of Jessup many many years ago when i was trying to take a shortcut from one side of the state to the other. When i looked at the paper map(yes that's what we used to use back then), it was this small dot alone the detour path that i was taking. When driving through the center of what was the town it appeared very poor and the structures very old yet simple. This drive through brought back alot of memories.

Some of these abandoned houses were probably somebody’s dream home at some point.

Compaired to what it's like in McDowell county in WV. This is 5 star rating.😁 I don't see everyday household trash lining the road like it is here. Cool video!😎👍

I went to school in Jacksonville, FL '74-'75 & remember that paper mill smell very well. I daydream watching this wondering what year the area was active/bustling. And when I see the abandoned truck on a property, I ask myself the year of the truck & date it was left there. T/y for sharing, I like this stuff a lot..............

I think maybe this town has more abandoned houses than the others you've driven through. I was hoping you would drop a video soon, just love watching these videos of places I'll never get to see in person. Great work!

I don't understand the purpose of the fences and 'no trespassing' signs on so many abandoned properties. It doesn't look like there is anything worth stealing.

I don't know about yhall but I sometimes like the way it looks when vines takeover a certain portion of a house. I think sometimes it can look neglected but sometimes it can look cool too. American Intermediary Documentary 09/09/2024
